i've learnt more from these two in the last 20 episodes than my whole science gcse course

Not Bach dripped out with the computer science and cybersecurity major drip

what I love about Bach and Arthur is that when one of them is explaining a concept or theory they don’t interrupt or talk over each other. it’s really lovely to see two people respect each others knowledge and interpretations so much that they let each other talk freely without interruption.
This podcast made me realise how much I actually love learning about new things.
Love that Bach is serving little carrot farmer boy core in this !🧑🏻🌾🧡🥕
arthur hit the double homicide today making them both jaundiced - impressive stuff 🍫
I have dressed as a scient teacher guys
I can’t even spell scient
Science
Hi Bach
Where’s the shirt from
its very, “turn to page 27 in your active learning chemistry book” 😂😂
WAIT CRAZY MANDELLA EFFECT!! I COULDVE SWORN BACH AND ARTHUR WERE LOVERS!!!!?!??!
thats no mandella effect pal
Can we all agree that we love Bach’s Dress style and that he can pull anything off. But omg they both fire 🔥🔥
ignoring the Mandela effects and just trying to work out which type of ape Curious George is is so arthur coded
I'm gonna tell my kids that these two switching from silly to science is actually Jekyll and Hyde.
Guys, I really love your podcasts, I listen to quite a few but yours is by far my favourite, it's like the perfect combination of brain rot comedy and actually interesting educational topics. And I admire how you two can yap about anything.
The maze thing you were talking about is when the area of the brain called the corpus callosum is severed, the original studies you spoke about with the picture envoking emotion were done by someone called Sperry in 1968 and it was a biopsychological study that helped us realise that different sides of the brain actually compute different things but send synapses to each side to communicate. It’swhere the whole left brain, right brain (hemispheric lateralisation) idea comes from I believe! Super cool, I got so excited hearing you talk about it,I’m such a nerd for psychology studies :)
this episode made me feel like i’ve never learnt anything
I made a bingo card for phrases said in this podcast and this episode crossed off every single box
Bach's outfit Is eating it up 💅🏻
Not processing all of the quantum stuff, but still having a lovely time. You two have excellent podcast voices.
I don’t understand how we ALL remember Pringles being chive though because that was my favourite flavour!!
im losing it
THERE DEFINITELY WAS I REMEMBER the whole reason I knew what chives were when I was small was because of that Pringles !
Heyy guys not sure if my comment will be seen or not but still- just wanna say I love the podcast and you guys are my favourite thing to listen to. There’s a lot of educational stuff and I learn a lot compared to other podcasts which are often less interesting. And it’s a great podcast to have on whilst I’m doing something like cooking etc so thanks for the episodes and effort you put into it
Everytime Bach talks his inner italian aura is revealed through his hand actions
Guys I cannot comprehend what you’re saying without subtitles like it does not go in my brain without them
Can we have a section on Egyptology, how you think the pyramids were built, all the lost and found tombs just general ancient Egypt talk, would be very interesting to hear your thoughts
I always think about how our eyes see things upside down and our brain flips it so it’s right like imagine if your brain just stopped doing that one day
But how do you know we see things right? If our brain didn’t flip what our eyes see then everything upside down would be normal? So what’s the point of our brains flipping everything around?
@Dndieiwnsnsnjdid the light that reflects on things to allow us to even see, is reflected when it enters our eye by the lens in our eye as it focuses the light, our retina translates what we're seeing to our brain via optical nerve and our brain flips it the right way up. Ik it's been a week I couldnt leave w/o telling you
@@Dndieiwnsnsnjdid don’t do this to me I’m too high
Bach is looking particularly dapper in this episode
combo of science, philosophy, religion, and silly humor is perfect. I hope you guys do those games again!!! (wordle, finish the comment, etc)
understood the double slit experiment from arthur better than in an hours lesson
arthur talking for like 6 minutes straight on science theories is very much a reflection of when my friends are super into smth that i havent got the foggiest about, but i just sit there, watching their beautiful confusing brains working and being adorably passionate about what theyre saying, and im just being supportive like 'uh huh, omigosh, really?? wow!! thats so cool' - and like i dont really get what theyre saying but i can tell its important so thats all that matters, is for me to hear them out XD
such an interesting ep, love these debates it really tickled my rose toy. you’re doing great boys
viewer from oregon usa, idk why i said that but whatever. i love the podcast and all the sciencey type of episodes you guys have been doing lately are my absolute favorite please keep doing more like them !!
the wait has been worth it
1:02:43 „keep us growing“🤨 arthur channeled his inner freak
🌌🌌🪐🪐
51:22 this changed my life🌀🌀
a whole episode fully on nerdy space stuff…i used to pray for times like these 🌌🌹
bach looking smart for his episode
I love watching discussions about otherworldly, supernatural or related phenomena, and for a while UA-cam started dragging me down a fear-filled area of the algorithm related to those topics, but I finally feel refreshed having found your podcast! I am not filled with fear or anxiety at the end of it like some of the other videos I've been watching lately, thank you.
I love how Bach starts the subject and Arthur dumps all his info on the topic
This is maybe my favourite episode of this podcast yet! Loved the talk towards the end to do with the infinite universe and simulation theory. This is my favourite pod these deep conversations tickle my brain ❤
I’m so glad you guys made a podcast because you both individually helped me so much when I was in hospital having surgery and recovering from my ohvira syndrome, love you both so much 🫶🏻
This is literally my favourite time of the week
i love that bach mentioned brian cox, hes my favourite person to learn about science from!
I love the scienc-y pods sm, you guys teach me more than I’ve learnt in the past 7 yrs 🌌
You guys should do an episode on memory; I have a degree in psychology and memory was by far the most interesting aspect of the whole course. It’s insane how smart and intricate the human brain is yet how easy it is to create false memories
Best pod in a while guys! Curious to see if this is the universe where you talk about science with Brian Cox all buzzing with rose toys 🤞🏼
I'd love to see bach and/or Arthur on the sci guys podcast, they have similar humor and outlook. it would be a great collab
You guys give me a good old existential crisis every week thank u kindly 🙏
thanks for pod it was worth staying up for so far
this might be my fav ep, its a topic im so passionate about!! you guys should defo look into shifting realities as well, i feel it would be a very interesting topic and would be great to hear your opions on it. theress tonnes of levels to it such as shifttok, the cia documents, people who claim to have shifted.
Delay on Patreon was well and truly worth it (I made the comment telepathically knowing you would talk about Mandela effects)
was gonna sleep early tonight but new podcast ep!!! thank u kings i feel so smart watching these 🌌
The scarcity of galaxy emojis breaks my heart💔 🌌🌌
I’ve always enjoyed the theory, as far fetched as it may be, that what happens after death, is whatever you believe will happen. Like people who believe in religions will experience their idea of the after life after death, people who believe it’s nothing and you just float away into darkness and cease to exist, that’s what happens for them.
I hope there is an alternative reality where this episode ended with the VICTORIAN CHILD 😢
only bach and arthur could go from talking about the mandela effect to what colour it is
This episode was so fascinating to listen to 🌌
Thanks for the existential crisis boys 🥰🥰
51:22 thats a banger line
hey Bach and Arthur I love your guys’ content and would personally love to see a episode about you guys discussing personality and personality types (mbti types is what I’m thinking) and maybe even doing a quiz/test to see what your personality types are. keep up the content I love listening to your opinions and thoughts!!!
I just read a book on quantum mechanics and hearing you guys explain the same points really helped me to understand it better
Thankyou Arthur for explaining schrodingers cat i have always been puizzled about it but my confusion is no longer
Crazy to think I was just watching Bach pretend to be a dead hamster prior to watching him now talking about parallel universes 😂
You guys weren’t late at all. Bang on! (The wait was worth it)
Patreon gang!!! Thank you for making my physics degree worth it with episodes like this 😅
defiantly my favourite episode so far, honestly made my head hurt😂🌌🌌🌌
Bach, please give my dad his shirt back. He’s distraught.
I really like the episodes about conspiracy theories and such. Great ep guys.🌌
Always watch before bed this one definitely stopped me falling asleep 🌌🪐
THERE DEFINITELY WAS A SOUR CREAM AND CHIVE I REMEMBER the whole reason I knew what chives were when I was small was because of that Pringles !
Conspiracy and multiverse etc. episodes are definitely the best ones
Would be cool to hear you guys discuss the simulation theory, arthur referred to the split particle experiment which could also be used in the same theory, and with computer code being found in the fabric of the universe etc, would make a cool interesting conversation/episode :d
only just heard 1:00:00 xd but would be even better if you guys dived deeper into it, i think theres a lot of links between simulation and life.
this is all so trippy but it was definitely worth the wait so far❤
best episode so far, 9/10 perfect score
On the topic of consciousness does anyone else sometimes forget and can’t rap their head around the fact people they see every day are fully conscious and have their only lives outside of when you see them, the idea that they continue to exist
For the walkers crisps mandela effect, cheese and onion and salt and vinegar crisps in most european countries are swapped (in terms of colours) so where I live salt and vinegar is always blue and cheese and onion always green and I'm fairly sure lays used to be walkers before it got bought or something, because if you look at the lays packaging it is very similar to walkers, so maybe Bach saw this whilst on holiday and his brainjust stuck on it...
why dont podcasts like this ever trend 💔
These podcast fill me such existential dread and then you go and talk about rose toys while I’m still mid panic attack thinking about the universe 😭 Another mind fuck of an episode lads keep it up ‼️💫
27:50 actually one of the FUNNIEST things i've heard in my life; how do you even think of that😭
BEST PODCAST YET
You guys should check out the short story "The Egg" by Andy Weir. It goes into the meaning of life and, in a way, the answer to consciousness. I would love for you guys to bring it up as a topic on the pod; it's a story that has really played on my mind for the last couple of years.
We actually read the dialogue of The Egg out in episode 13 and discussed it afterwards!
43:00 that's so interesting. as someone who has studied a bit of psychology it makes me wonder, since i believe most of our actions are caused by our personality/being(? not sure how to phrase it), so the idea that there would be a reality where you would throw the cup across the room is interesting, since that feels like a character based decision.
idk if that made any sense 😭 english isn't my first language
Idk if it’s because I’ve stayed up so late to watch this on early release but this one has had the most complicated concepts so far
bach is giving kitchen cloth and i’m here for it
thank you guys lots of love xxxx
that last thursday thing arthur was talking about is hurting my feelings
bach is giving country singer and hes honestly pulling it off very well
yay yay yay Bach and Arthur new video yayyyyy!!!!!
Literally reading a book about the universe being infinite/finite, closed and open universes, CMBR etc so this bit was especially interesting to me right now 54:57
I’m counting this as my physics a-level revision for the summer 🪐🌌
Revisiting this episode months later so I'm not sure if anyone will see my psychological ramblings, but it's a topic I love so I'll continue to talk to myself in the comments... I think the Mandela Effect (or at least many instances of it) can easily be explained by reconstructive memory theory. When people recall a memory of something, it can be distorted or transformed by previous beliefs which an individual has created based on their past experiences of similar things.
For example with the Monopoly Man, throughout history and pop culture there has been many instances of the classic 'Top Hat, Monocle, Suit and Cane Guy' image (e.g. Joseph Chamberlain, The Penguin from Batman 1966, Colonel Mustard from Cluedo) and over time it's become a widely accepted stereotypical image of a sophisticated and affluent older man.
Therefore, when recalling the image of the Monopoly Man (a sophisticated, affluent older man- with many other aspects of the stereotypical image, e.g. top hat and suit) your brain automatically completes the picture with a monocle, as that's what is expected from your previous experiences with this archetype.
When you're super convinced that an image was a specific way because of previous beliefs you've held for ages, it's hard to come to terms with the fact it was never true at all.
Pretty interesting!
can you guys do a small segment on the Lunar Magma Ocean theory??
I’d love for you guys do cover derealisation one ep as I used to experience it a lot last year👍
This reminds me of the Jenna and Julien podcast a bit 🥲🌌
the scoffing yoghurt raisins comment really sent me back i feel seen
turns out i am the perfect audience for the quantum rose toy dicussions
Right on time as well thanks guys
salt and vinegar crisps used to be blue and cheese and onion was green! I remember this so vividly growing up and have never had someone address this !
Arthur “it’s hard for me to put into terms, let alone the smartest people on the earth” such a modest guy claiming he is more intelligent than the smartest people on earth
really looking forward to this!
Quantum Immortality has blown my mind. How many times have I switched timelines?! What if every single close call and NDE actually did happen? Everyone who’s ever died is still somewhere else? Are there timelines with every single person I’ve ever known dead or alive in it? I don’t know how I can go on knowing this information
drop the skincare routines guys you’re literally glowing 😭🫶🏻
