Legendary Canadian songwriter and Canadian Music Hall of Fame member k.d. lang discusses the drive for success.
In 2017, k.d. lang's stage outfits were displayed as part of the exhibition, called Big, Big Love: k.d. lang on Stage, at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre. The exhibition helped trace the versatile performer's evolution as as one of Canada’s most-loved artists and a true Alberta original. Some outfits can still be seen on display in the museum, including the wedding dress she wore to accept her 1985 JUNO Award for Most Promising Female Vocalist.

I'm a retired concert pianist and music professor, and k.d. lang is absolutely right! All those years when I was auditioning piano performance students, I paid way more attention to their attitude than their talent. As Henry Ford said, "whether you say I can or I can't - you're always right."
