Interesting that you mention screen resolution as my first PC was1280 x 1024 back in '97, powered by a late edition 4MB Matrox Millenium with 3D support. TA looked and ran superbly considering the huge amount of 3D going on for a game of that era with the banded mesa maps in particular having that realistic wow factor. It was a kind of a "you'd have to have been there" moment compared to what we have today since it was during the transition period from 2D to 3D gaming wise. Even the lauded C&C franchise stuck with 2D until Generals came out in 2003. Hats off to Cavedog.
I mostly watch starcraft and I just remembered this game from my childhood and looked up if its still played. It's nice to see a channel dedicated to casts for this game, It looks super macro oriented, every game seems so long and epic.

Probably because every unit can be countered , and defense is strong, so games tend to run long, Micro is very important though .
Every battle is a full-scale war. It’s awesome.
Ive played starcraft and ta extensively. Ta is by far the better game. Especially Especially Especially with the escalation mod. 🎉😂
