It should be noted that the Smart Switching feature, which switches the Active Speaker from the Sight camera to the Rally Bar, providing a front-facing eye gaze from a different angle, is an upcoming feature and has not yet been released at the time of this comment. It is my understanding that what you see in this video is on the roadmap and is currently in development. The camera quality from the Sight is phenomenal and produces crystal-clear and sharp video. You won’t be disappointed
We actually have the big super expensive Logitech bar with camera and extra microphones in the offices... It is annoying to work with if you use Google Meet. There is no software which would help you, so you have to set up your camera, microphone and speaker every time when you connect, no matter if you are on the Mac OS or Linux... We expected just plug one cable and you are good to go... If we knew that beforehand we would have chose an alternative
I generally like Logitech products but Owl Labs did this better and cheaper. This Logitech thing is like $5000 since it’s not standalone and the Meeting Owl is $1000 and standalone
You are missing the point with this product set. 360 cams for most standard room layouts just don't work where you are talking to online participants. Do they want to see a side-shot of your head when you address them, because that is what happens with a screen at one end and a 360 in the middle of the table (and I will go out on a limb and say a rectangle table with a screen at the end would be a standard meeting space layout). The fact that this will switch (and not do any crazy panning) means that whether the people in the room look across the table (where they will be framed by the 360 cam) or they look at the screen with the online participants, (where they will be framed by the cam under the screen), should just give a much more natural feeling of being in the meeting. I'm not saying this is going to be amazing, might be great, might be terrible, proof is in the pudding right? but it is definitely the way things will be going move towards for better engagement and equity in hybrid meetings. Other manufacturers in this space are building similar products. As for the cost, you buy for what is going to work best for you and that is affordable. You can't cost compare these two products, they are not the same.
I come through this show my dissatisfaction with the logitech brand. And in the face of this frustrating experience, I come to everyone's knowledge. I bought a Logitech mouse model M720 TRIATHLON BLUETOOTH the mouse started to present problems in the function of the clicks of the left button, so far so good, because we know that any product in its use can present faults, the problem is when it presents faults and does not have support, no technical support. Here's the tip, if you buy this product, buy it knowing that any problem with the product, there will only be the alternative of throwing it in the trash. Mainly here in Brazil.
I don't understand why video is so important for meetings, wonder how Jeff Bezoz does it! Next you should put up some led lights and lazer show with topped up with smoke and poppers....lets not meet, lets party!!! BS

Does this device work with a Rally bar that is being used in BYOD mode as well?

Choose a good systems integrator and save yourself the hassle. That's what systems- and AV-Integrators are for.
Anyone else notice the OWL coffee cup at the beginning ? Wink Wink... 😉
