This fixed it for me as well. Wow what a PIA forgot the plug in the sensor after cleaning throttle body. My OBD scanner told me it's permanent error and you can't erase it basically but after I took the car on the highway and raised the RPM over 4K the error's gone. Completely gone. Thank you this saved me a whole lot of trouble.
Wawoo i been driving my 2012 toyota highlander for p0102 MAS i drove almost 400 miles still the permanent code but i did after watched your video and its gone thanks really appreciate it
You saved my life. I was told to drive 200 miles that the permanent code will clear, I ended up driving over 2500 miles, and the code remained after I watched your video. In 10 minutes my problem was over. Thank you so much.
Lol who told you to drive 200 miles to clear a code. Toyota almost never will ask you to drive 200 miles to clear some code that's the same thing a mechanic told me to drive the car for 10 or more miles to clear tire pressure sensors error which was complete BS. Never trust anyone who tells you to drive 200 miles to clear an error.
You are a life saver. Was having this issue after cleaning throttle body on my Scion TC, made the mistake of buying a new MAF and still had code. Found your video and voila! Worked! Thanks so much
Yeah new MAF will not erase this. Toyotas do this thing. I have a lexus same thing with my car forgot to plug the sensor and now it's giving me this error code. Drove the car on the highway and it cleared the error.
Thank you, Joe! This worked on my 2009 RAV4, when I started the car with the MAF sensor not plugged in - I cleared the CEL with my scan tool, but I also had the permanent DTC code. I ran it on the highway and performed the procedure twice. Drove it back home, shut off the car, rescanned, and the permanent code is gone!
Ty so much. I just did this on my 2011 Toyota Corolla and it cleared my pending and stored Code that I didn’t have a check engine light for. I did it three times and I just checked and there’s no more code. I had my MAF sensor disconnected and all I did was turn the ignition to raise my window. I had the MAF disconnected when I was cleaning my throttle body. Thank you very much
Thank you, Joe. On my 2009 RAV4, I used the hole for MAF sensor to send Throttle body cleaning spray with the help of a tube. This resulted in the P0102 Historic Fault code. After performing the procedure explained here by you, I was able to erase the Historic Fault Code. Thank for your help.
You are the man, I have cleared the code use this method. Toyota 2013 tundra. Had finished the cycle for 200 miles and 20 starts, the permanent P0102 was still on, until I saw this video, thank you
New subscriber here. I have 2015 rav4, I got permanent p0102 code after I cleaned the maf sensor and reconnected the wiring, I have been driving for a while now but permanent code still there. I’m going to try your method and hopefully it will go away, thanks
@@johntran7021 did you accelerate the way I showed in the videos. It has to be exactly the way I showed because I followed the service manual from Toyota

Thank you so much I tried everything and nothing else worked until I did this. The permanent code is finally gone.

I do and that 2011 toyota sienna works good thank you Clear already permanent code
Friend, how long should I maintain speed at 50 miles?
Mine took about 20 sec
Nice
I drive code still not clear
Please check the mass airflow sensor if it is still plugged in. Clean it with mass air flow cleaner. Then drive the car again I showed in the video
