Last 2 minutes of the video was a much needed message. Been feeling stuck professionally, trying to make a change, and feeling like no one will help. Thanks for another great review and inspiring video.
If the final ramble came to you unplanned, I'm so glad you continued rambling. Hell, unplanned or not, it's what I needed to hear. Perhaps like most of us, I realize I'm here for the perspectives, and gear second. You had me at gear, you got me with rambles. Good name for a dog, btw. Cheers!
I ran an exercise with 30 people at a workshop yesterday that was getting at the interplay between “unexpected” and “intentional”. Surfing through what seems is “outside” your control, whilst discovering more and more what’s “inside” your control. The context was business / career, but to me (and obvs to you) it seems like the idea applies to all of life. A never ending tension of responding / allowing and initiating / creating. Love the bag. Love your thoughts as always my brother. Keep wandering.
I bought a piece of luggage just like this 15 years ago for $50 at Costco. Still have it. One of the wheels just broke on some cobblestone in Sweden. Just put an order in for one of these, was considering the Aer Carry On (looks better + wheels) but the expandability on my Costco bag has saved me so many times when I wanted to bring stuff back from trips that I had wait for this one.
C'mon Chase, I love ya man but it doesn't even look like you've used this on a trip or two. It's like someone reviewing a book they haven't read, or a movie they haven't seen- if all you have to go on is the ad copy from the brand, it does kinda sound more like a commercial over a review, man.
Have you got any experience with the July Carry on Lite? It is Marketed as the world’s lightest carry on (1.8kg) and intrigues me for a family trip to Asia where every gram counts
I feel like these rollers s would do well to look at briggs and riley and how they do their trolley handle. Those handles inside the usable space is just unnecessary. B&R is very expensive so that makes it tough to justify the extra space but in the 225-350 price range with the trolley on the outside of the bag, now we are talking!
The problem with B&R's method is that the external trolley handle still counts toward the overall dimensions of the suitcase. So in complying with airline size requirements, you actually end up with a smaller usable packing space. Otherwise you could use that space around the trolley handle to pack a few pairs of underwear, socks, etc.
@@afshars5791 B&R 21 inch carry on is 9x14 with 40 liters capacity unexpanded and 49 liters expanded. Nomadic method 22 inch carry on is 9x14 with 40 and 47 respectively. So it appears that the smaller B&R has slightly more capacity with same exterior dimensions. All data from respective websites. The $150 price difference gets you the B&R compression system which is probably the best in the business, a lifetime guarantee, a front pocket and a quick access pocket. Is it worth it? Who knows. I own a brigs and Riley roller bag (25 liters) and I did 2 weeks in Asia with that bag and a small back pack. It’s bullet proof, super light weight and worth the money I spent. I think in the end I’ll default to B&R even with the price difference.
Absolutely agree. I would pay a little more for their bags because its a guaranteed real lifetime warranty. I have their ZDX carry on which is a little heavier than this at 7.4 pounds and it has compression technology to cram more stuff in if you want to. Had it for a few years and it looks brand new. I also have their medium torq trunk when I need more space and same level of quality. The one Nomatic travelpack I bought shoulder strapped ripped within a few days of use. I tried to contact them a few times to get it fix and they basically didn't reply. This was years ago so their customer service may have improved but I personally wouldn't spend hundreds of dollars on bag with them.

The first time I go to check the link in the description and ITS NOT THERE! Help Chase! I gotta feed your kids!
Gah! nobody told me. All fixed now.
I have this piece of luggage and love it! Thank you for the in depth review.
This legitimately is the first time I am excited for a carry on luggage

Nice review wishing I’d gotten one now when they had the new release sale.

I like this! THanks for the review Chase! I was paralyzed on Briggs and Riley vs. Aer, but this may take my money!

sounds like a commercial, Chase.
Be careful with that doo. You're pushing it. 🤗
Ya, I had to edit it and felt embarrassed the whole time. Sometimes I just don't know what it looks like.
