I just made some apricot hamantaschen before I found your recipe. I will try yours too, with a different filling so I can compare. I will also do what you do and not close them up as much as I did, they are prettier! You are sweet and fun to watch. I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos!
Hello! I just wanted to let you know. your recipe for hamantaschen are great! I followed your recipe to the to the T they came out great My husband and my mother-in-law said they were soooo good! thank you for sharing. God bless you and your family 🙏🏼
Oh my goodness! I just came back to this from last year because I needed a bunch of hamantaschen for an event tomorrow. You are not kidding! This is 100% the best dough I've ever used. So easy to make, work with, and came out perfectly! Thanks and Happy Purim!
@@MyJewishMommyLife you're welcome! My daughter had a play date today so I actually whipped up another batch and used your rainbow hamantaschen tutorial with them. It was a huge hit!
From one carb lover to another: I love that we are each die hards about our own recipes! I will say that mine are really light (and flakey) which is not at all compatible with shipping! I totally get why you make these more durable ones and I’m sure you’ve tried a bunch to get a dough with the best flavor and look. Love your cooking/baking tutorials, Marion!
Here in Australia, there's only one shop in Sydney that makes good poppyseed Hamantashen, but their "good" is average, as the best ones I tried many years ago were made by elderly hands - nothing since has compared. I'll keep you updated xx
I will try your recipe this year since I want to send some to each of my boys. BTW I tried your chicken recipe for Shabbat and it was delicious! I heated leftovers on Sunday when I worked at the store and had comments on how good it smelled!
Marion, in one of your videos you mentioned honey mustard chicken. I’d love a video for that recipe if you feel like sharing it! I used your Italian dressing chicken recipe for Shabbat last week and it was so easy and delicious! 😋
Here is the recipe with all the ingredients and measurements PRO TIP put the cookies in the refrigerator before baking and they’ll maintain their shape better! myjewishmommylife.com/2019/03/04/best-hamentashen-recipe/
Jenny Cam Beauty I haven’t used it but I have heard Gesine Prado talk about King Arthur’s cup for cup. It’s supposed to be swappable for regular flour. Might be some videos on how folks like it.
I’ve used King Arthur cup for cup with my Hamantaschen with great results (and my dad is so grateful). I’d recommend it as a quality option for gluten free folks!
Can’t wait to try this recipe for Purim! Have you ever made them parve? I wonder if using margarine would alter the consistency of the dough. Do you always make your hamentaschen dairy?
HI Sweetie, your cookies look wonderfully delicious…Can you tell me what size of Cookie Cutter you used in order to get 24 cookies? Also Can these be frozen as I would like to make for Christmas…and I am sorry for this last question dear, but is the taste and texture of the dough like Shortbread Dough? Now if you answer all my questions, you deserve me as a subscriber because what I see here is a dedicated Baker/Cook who cares about her site and is proud to share and teach others like all of us, how to replicate your concoctions….Thank You and hopefully you answer my queries so I can make these delights asap….❤
Yes they are my favorite, amazing how different they can be. I actually really don't like the New York deli style ones if you've ever had those. I don't remember if I liked the ones in Israel lol it's been too long!
Happy Purim! I tried another recipe before seeing your video. The first time, they came out perfectly. The second time, I did everything the same, but they burned.. ugh. The main issue also is that the dough is sooo sticky and kept sticking to my wooden rolling pin no matter how much flour I sprinkled on everything. The recipe you used is similar, but has less butter and more flour. I am wondering, how many hamentashen do you get with the recipe? And also can you describe the texture of the baked cookie? Like is it soft and slightly crumbly like a sugar cookie? Thank you! (Also, I assume I can leave out the lemon?)
Uh oh! You and Melissa at Little Kosher Lunch both claim to have the best hamentaschen recipe! Haha I'm going to have to try both recipes to find out! 😂 😉
Raquel H ha!!! I’ll give it to Marion that hers can travel, and mine are more delicate, and probably would not ship well! As for mine, I only share them within walking distance, so I’ll never stray from my flakey cream cheese dough! I love that we both have recipes we love! To each their own! More baking for you, I guess, Raquel? 😋
Thanks, BUT .... we came here to see how the dough is formed (not for this particular recipe) and the sped-up video at that point made it very hard to see exactly how the 3rd corner is formed. Four O'clock ... OK. EIght O'clock ... OK. But when you get to Midnight all of sudden it all goes into warp speed. However, my wife seems to have somehow pulled it off now, so thanks again.
These Hamantashen look delicious!! I will be trying them this Purim. I will try to make my Sefardi filling with apples and dulce de leche. Thank you for sharing your recipe!
I've only ever had one hamentashen and it was a homemade one at temple and it was the single greatest cookie I've ever had
Lol I love this! Yes they are the best!
This recipe looks sweet and easy to make and your presentation was a joy to watch - thanks! 🤗
Will make these this year again... Thanks Marion!
Just made the dough. Have peach and strawberry preserves. Hope this works. Keeping my fingers crossed.thank you for recipe.

Those Hamantash look delicious. I want to try the chocolate ones.
Thanks so much! Let me know if you do!
Looks great.
Thanks so much!!
These were great! Can u tell me how to store them?
I keep them in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can store them out of the refrigerator for about 2 days then I think they go a little stale.
My Jewish Mommy Life ok I was just worried about the jam on the inside but I haven’t gotten sick yet so I think it’s fine 😄
They look really good but can you tell me from this recipe how many cookies did it yield? Thanks
About 24 cookies!
Hi Marion! How do I make
This parve? Thanks! Hope you and Corey are doing well and that Max is adjusting well 😀
Substitute the butter with margarine
Thanks so much, yes thankfully we are adjusting well! Yes that's right substituting with margarine is just fine!

My Jewish Mommy Life Battle Hamantaschen!!! Everyone wins!!!
I'd love to be apart of a hamantaschen war! On the front lines, please- hit me with every hamantasch (singular spelling?) you have!! Mmmm! 😋 😋
they look soooo delicious! I will try it with pineapple jam 😎
That’s a delicious idea!! I hope they turn out great!
I find this dough to break apart way to easy to pinch the sides. What am I missing. I have tried 2 times.
Good morning:-)...yum yum :-)))👏👏🌸

You're wonderful. For the old man Pronounce hamentashen ha as in hominy or "say ahhhh" or ha ha ha. Instead of ho-mentashen. All the best.
what the fuck is the code??????!!!????
