I just made some apricot hamantaschen before I found your recipe. I will try yours too, with a different filling so I can compare. I will also do what you do and not close them up as much as I did, they are prettier! You are sweet and fun to watch. I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos!

From one carb lover to another: I love that we are each die hards about our own recipes! I will say that mine are really light (and flakey) which is not at all compatible with shipping! I totally get why you make these more durable ones and I’m sure you’ve tried a bunch to get a dough with the best flavor and look. Love your cooking/baking tutorials, Marion!

Here in Australia, there's only one shop in Sydney that makes good poppyseed Hamantashen, but their "good" is average, as the best ones I tried many years ago were made by elderly hands - nothing since has compared. I'll keep you updated xx

Jenny Cam Beauty I haven’t used it but I have heard Gesine Prado talk about King Arthur’s cup for cup. It’s supposed to be swappable for regular flour. Might be some videos on how folks like it.

HI Sweetie, your cookies look wonderfully delicious…Can you tell me what size of Cookie Cutter you used in order to get 24 cookies? Also Can these be frozen as I would like to make for Christmas…and I am sorry for this last question dear, but is the taste and texture of the dough like Shortbread Dough? Now if you answer all my questions, you deserve me as a subscriber because what I see here is a dedicated Baker/Cook who cares about her site and is proud to share and teach others like all of us, how to replicate your concoctions….Thank You and hopefully you answer my queries so I can make these delights asap….❤

Yes they are my favorite, amazing how different they can be. I actually really don't like the New York deli style ones if you've ever had those. I don't remember if I liked the ones in Israel lol it's been too long!

Happy Purim! I tried another recipe before seeing your video. The first time, they came out perfectly. The second time, I did everything the same, but they burned.. ugh. The main issue also is that the dough is sooo sticky and kept sticking to my wooden rolling pin no matter how much flour I sprinkled on everything. The recipe you used is similar, but has less butter and more flour. I am wondering, how many hamentashen do you get with the recipe? And also can you describe the texture of the baked cookie? Like is it soft and slightly crumbly like a sugar cookie? Thank you! (Also, I assume I can leave out the lemon?)

I keep them in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can store them out of the refrigerator for about 2 days then I think they go a little stale.

Raquel H ha!!! I’ll give it to Marion that hers can travel, and mine are more delicate, and probably would not ship well! As for mine, I only share them within walking distance, so I’ll never stray from my flakey cream cheese dough! I love that we both have recipes we love! To each their own! More baking for you, I guess, Raquel? 😋

Thanks, BUT .... we came here to see how the dough is formed (not for this particular recipe) and the sped-up video at that point made it very hard to see exactly how the 3rd corner is formed. Four O'clock ... OK. EIght O'clock ... OK. But when you get to Midnight all of sudden it all goes into warp speed. However, my wife seems to have somehow pulled it off now, so thanks again.
