    Considering that Taylor has bought the ranch…not a Hollywood guy but a true cowboy with the right respect for tradition, I think she would approve. You just see him in Yellowstone, and how he produced it and 1883 - plus a series possible on the 6666 - and it should stay economically viable for years to come. Great story on Anne.😉👍

      I should rephrase that …Taylor was not originally a cowboy, he was a model. But he embraced the lifestyle and truly knows his way around a corral. 😁

      I just watched Wind River, couple of years ago l saw Hell or High Water, the guy is awesome. Never seen Yellowstone or 1883, l might break down and get a TV. I lived on the Dixon Creek branch of the 6666 in the 70s but didn't really know the history of it, l wasn't employed by the ranch.

      Taylor Sheridan is from For Worth and he was rumored to purchase the Four 6 Ranch for 341 million USD. It is located in 4 different counties;
      Guthrie, Carson, Hutchison, Sherman Counties. Nobody actually know how it got its name, but the first cattle on the land had brands of '6666'. No shocker the family wants to sell it. How much does it cost to run a ranch this size?

    What the heck do the cattle and horses eat at the 6666? I've seen plenty of film of the ranch and I have seen precious few green blades of grass.
    The fact that places like the 6666 are fining cultural traction gives me hope for the country. I know it sounds hopelessly corny, but the cowboy virtues are largely American virtues. Very few of us can make a living on horseback these days, but living by the cowboy virtues is a worthy goal for all of us. The fact that cowboys are becoming living cultural icons give me hope for the future.
