The Boys is not an easy song to sing, many high notes across the song. Not talking about it's one of SNSD's biggest hits. I think dance cover was the right choice from Oh My Girl. They knew their limit.

Kimmy Ngo oh my girls are not the only one that covers snsd songs. There are other girl groups that sing and dance to snsd as well. Do check them out please. This is just just a tribute anyway. They adore snsd and they are paying tribute to snsd. Sones should be flattered. Miracle here.

+xoxoNateJennyxoxo I believe in the future they will. When Girls Generation first came out, they had a younger and more "wholesome" image to start. As they went along, it became more mature and such. I'm sure Oh My Girl will do the same thing, it does work for them to go for a younger feel since the overall group is still very young, and then probably become more mature as they grow and become more popular.
trogdorthe8th I agree with you. I do love their current releases though (I really like dream-pop and Closer was that done to perfection) and especially given their ages it was definitely the best way to start as a group.

요즘 오마이걸에 관심 많았던 소원인데 과거에 커버 진짜 잘했다고 지나갔던 그룹이 오마이걸이였구나 믿힌
목소리까지 녹음하는게 쉬운일이니? 음방같은데서 하는 비교적 큰 프로젝트 같은것도 아닐뿐더러 걍 소속사에서 지네끼리 한건데 대체 어디까지 바라고 있는 거야.. 쌩판 다른 소속사 연예인 롤모델이랍시고 안무외우고 몇시간 쌔빠지게 연습했을 애들한테 왜 춤'만' 췄냐고 욕하는모습^^애초에 다른 소속사아이돌을 위해서 며칠씩 밤새가며 투자할 이유도 없는 건데 쟤넨 음원까지 녹음하길 바라고있다.. 8명이서 춤외우고 동선외우고 군무맞추고 하는 건 어디 연습이 없었을까. ;^;

Kaya Chan in the end who's the new nation's girl group? there are many skilled groups who are nowhere near TWICE's popularity (e.g. BERRY GOOD) so either way, innate talent doesn't matter. people refuse to believe that TWICE is the most popular girl group right now just because they think other groups are more skilled but even then, look at American artists. Is Taylor Swift mega popular? Yes. Are there many people who can sing better than her? Yes. Does that change the fact that she's extremely popular and has won many awards for her catchy music? No.

애초에 녹음을 굳이 할필요가 없음.
원곡자도 아니고 소녀시대만큼 밸런스조절도 안된 신인그룹이고 그곡자체가 소녀시대에 맞춘건데 뭐하러 라이브하면서 춤을춰.
노래경연프로에서도 원곡이낫네 라는 소리듣는 와중에 춤만 하는게 낫지.
반대로 오마이걸 노래 소녀시대가해도 오마이걸만큼 못함.
각 그룹이 몇천번씩부른걸 몇번의 연습으로 따라갈 수가 없지

아니 립싱크다 뭐다 하는 애들은 도데체 뭐야ㅋ 애초에 애들 마이크 안참; 그리고 굳이 춤을 못춘다는 걸 여기 와서 말해야 하나;;소녀시대 본인들이 봐도 흐뭇해할 영상을 왜 지들이 까고 난린데 진짜 타팬이 봐도 답없다.

하여튼 비교하는거 참 좋아해 후배들이 좋아하고 존경하는 선배들 안무 커버한걸 갖고 이게 어떻고 저게 어떻고 어휴.. 충분히 잘하고 표정도 여유있고 안무 잘 맞고 연습 많이 한 티가 나는구만 다들 뭘 그렇게 마음에 안 들어하는지 노래를 안 하네 립싱크네 커버댄스가 뭔지도 모르나 앞으로 커버댄스 추는 팬들 노래 라이브 해야겠네ㅉㅉ

Oh My Girl has done a lot of covers of SNSD. I want more rookie groups to cover SNSD and appreciate their hard work as the top notch kpop girl group in Korea.
