People also get confused a lot by "fat-burning foods" and similar concepts. I try to explain carb/fat burning like this, even though it’s not exactly how it works:
You can think of your body as having two energy tanks: a carb tank and a fat tank. The carb tank always gets emptied out first.
Your total fuel is 2,000 calories.
You divide the fuel equally: 50% carbs and 50% fat.
The carbs get burned first, and then you burn the fat.
Now, let's say it's 1,900 calories of carbs and 100 calories of fat instead.
Yes, your fat burning is inhibited until the carbs are burned, but your fat loss is not inhibited since the fat gets burned afterward and now there's only 100 calories of it in the tank.
A lot of UA-camrs scam people by claiming that if you switch it up and eat 1,900 calories of fat instead, your fat burning skyrockets. While it’s true that your body burns more fat in this scenario, there’s just more total fat to burn. The total calories burned are still the same - 2,000 calories - it's just that now a larger portion comes from fat.
Yes, you burn through the carbs faster, but now you have more fat to burn, so the net advantage is zero.
And of course, as you mentioned, we burn both carbs and fat at all times, but this explanation helps simplify the concept.
    Good videos, keep it up.
