8:41 that 6 mana thing Nexus of Becoming doesn't just make 3/3s, the copies keep their abilities so you could theoretically use it to get the citadel you had or some other monster into play every turn. Not saying it was the pick just chattin :)
Love seeing limited on this channel. It's fun seeing someone who is very good at the game, but has limited experience with it have their own thought process I don't see much. Shame about missing the trophy, but being 1 game away from it is really good!
I think with 6 mana rocks, Ent, Timeless Dragon and Gitaxian probe, you have 9 half mana sources? I think I would have cut the last land for probe. Tough call though
Not sure what's causing it, but your mic audio is a little weird today. I'm hearing some kind of background hum when you talk (it gets cut off when you stop talking). Not a major deal at all tho. Love me some vintage cube always! ❤️
P1, pick 2 choosing fractured identity over Sylvan library seems absolutely crazy to me. Not sure how you determined that was the best card to pick but I'd be super interested in hearing the analysis. @1:54
We need to get a league or 2 with akal pakal to show brian the power. Inknow phil was pretty sold on the card from his experience, and i wanna see brian just cook off with it
Surprised that after drafting Mystic Forge and Sensai's Divining Top, you didn't put them in the deck together. "1: Draw a card" is pretty potent. They also combo with Aetherflux Reservoir for a three-piece combo kill, though that's a little more niche/dedicated.
That’s a choice to play a 4 drop that’s bad unless I have top in case they come together or to just play a flatter outcome card. I chose to play the flatter outcome that’s better in more places though anyone with the same pool might choose to high roll niche powerful synergies with their slots.
I am confused why you think hedge would be better here? I draft vintage cube quite a bit and have never been disappointed by academy. Was there something better about hedge maze that I missed?
So sad to see Breach, Brain Freeze, and LED in the draft when you didn't take any, but I've had plenty of drafts where I only get one and keep it sideboard. Also shocked to see you skip Displacer Kitten with a Covetted jewel. I know you don't have any combo pay offs, but I think it's enough value you can just bury your opponent.
cubist pack square em if you rectangle

Hey look its my second favorite kind of cube (right behind tungsten)
Bosh cube! Draft 'em if you got 'em!
Vintage cube is my favorite format. Always glad to see it on the channel

Watching you talk through your dradt section is great
I always like watching vintage cube.
Ooh, more cube. Always a delight.
It matters 0 percent, but the second chapter is labeled "dradt"
Fixed, thanks :)

Cube is my favorite format!

CUBE PACK!
cube lets go!
Seeing you take Academy over Hedge Maze hurt so bad, but then again, never punished!
Hard to be punished by taking a land that taps for 7 mana

So sad to see that time spiral go by when you picked academy so early
8:30 utter betrayal of the brand smdh
Let's fucking go!!
CUBE LETS GOOOOOOOOOO
Nobody respects shorakai
Sad
Maybe I’m the only one but I hecking love that card
