I’ve seen extreme pruning on that before😂 they only left like 2 feet of the trunk, with no branches, left. However, it still grew lots of branches afterwards. A pretty resilient tree to be honest, just like the moringa tree.
@@RealLifeFruitopia Thanks a lot! Now I have one 4-years-old tree (started fruiting this June) and several small trees planted this and last years. So nothing special to see yet, but I'll do such a video recently, before fall.
Nicely done 👍 Nd thanks for the info about bulleen art and garden for king white mulberry, i went there just in time before stage 4 nd picked one. its in the pot at the moment pushing new shoots. Nd i grafted the top stem that i pruned onto a regular mulberry from bunnings and thats looking good too.
Real Life Fruitopia great...next time when you prune the red one can you plz lemme know...i ll arrange a courier to get some stems for grafting and rooting if it is ok with you plz?
@@ayyazali4037 Thanks for asking, but at this time I'm unable to provide cuttings. My suggestion is to order via Garden World in Braeside or order through Daleys online site.
Hi, thanks for such informative videos. I am planning to plant my white shahtoot soon close to my red shahtoot ... after watching your video I am thinking I should probably plant it in an open space. My idea was that both red and white shahtoot are planted close to each other would be give me better and more fruit. Please guide me on this
Oh, and regarding your red one. The one who grafted it, had choosen kinda dwarfish rootstock which goes thick much slower than the upper part. That is bad usually.
You’ve done a great job pruning your tree. This is also how I prune my mulberry trees. Excellent video😊
Thanks 😊
Beautiful shahtoot plant .osm 👏👌👌👌👌👏👏👏
Thanks a lot

Wow, that's a prune.

Very informative knowledge
Thanks for watching
Thanks for sharing sir ...
Thank you for your video! Is there a follow up ? I am curious to see how the tree bounce back from this. I am about to prune my mulberry as well.
Follow up video in spring, it's now much larger in midsummer. ua-cam.com/video/YzcQMJIv6_g/v-deo.html
Thank you, this is the video I have been searching for!
Glad it was helpful!
Hey, great trees you have there! Hello from Russian mulberry fan (I try to grow them in a very cold climate). Subscribed.
Welcome to Fruitopia my friend :) I would like to see a video of your mulberries!

@@Tutovnik-info Looking forward to meeting you and your mulberries :)
Wow that is extreme. thanks for showing. , This takes the fear out when I have to do the same . Would you take branches for propagating more trees?
I've tried propagating cuttings with no luck, but I'm sure there are ways.
That's a beautiful tree. Are there any updates?
You can see it in the latest spring tour video. I took the chainsaw to it last summer to re shape it.
I've managed to find a pakistan mulberry here, should arrive September, I'm looking forward to possibly tasting fruit next Summer 🤞🤞
I love the white shatoot, taste like banana and watermelon
У меня вопрос, вы не обрабатываете срезы, каким либо средством?
Nicely done 👍

What is the PLANT SPACING between your trees? I am guestimating it is 5 meters distance between your trees.
Around 2 metres.
Nice video, can you grow this tree in a large pot?
Yes you can.

They don't have to be close to each other, the white does need to be away from pipes and house foundations.
Oh, and regarding your red one. The one who grafted it, had choosen kinda dwarfish rootstock which goes thick much slower than the upper part. That is bad usually.
I really don't mind about the mismatch because of the consistent bounty of fruit I get, but good to know, thanks for sharing.
@@RealLifeFruitopia Just keep an eye at those cracks to prevent rot and other bad things. What do you use in case of holes in alive trees?
@@Tutovnik-info I do nothing, unless it's really bad. Then chop chop time lol
How many inches of clear trunk (main trunk) from bottom to where it branch out?
O.M.G. You pollarded it.
How old is your mulberry tree.
The white mulberry is around 8 yo.
Just found your channel. What zone are you in?
Welcome to Fruitopia!! I'm in 9b, with 10 months of temperate weather and 2 months tropical, never snows nor below 30F.
Is there a bottom in the pot this tree is in? The whole tree isn’t in that pot is it?

good littel saw smaller the better for pruning
I have mulberry tree but all branches are hanging from sides no one going up. Even i wired them but new side benches started hanging. What to do?
I too would like to know! :)
@@RealLifeFruitopia will keep wired till next year then maybe become hard enough to hold the weight 😄
Это плакучая форма.
My white mulberry trunk has to be every bit of 22" diameter and way too tall to benefit me.
How are the roots on this plant? How old is your tree?
Tree is around 8 yo, the roots on this variety I dare say are invasive.
I would like to see what it looks like now, post a picture.
There are updates in recent videos
Ok got it, 6 years old
Upload a video when it's fruiting
