@@CapitanDavitus ner'zhul was weak alone thats why he needed Arhas in the first place, because he couldnt do shit without human body. But Arthas was powerful enough to overpower ner'zhul and become main identity within the lich king

The spire of Icecrown Citadel is a gateway to the Shadowlands; destroying the Helm of Domination there tore that gateway open (or in some other way).
Basically she made entering the afterlife possible for living beings.

One of the best cinematics for probably the worst expansion ever. Sylvanas is awesome as fuck though, only the best boy Illidan tops her for me.
Considering half that crowd still thinks BFA was a good expansion and they _still_ didn't get roaring applause from those apes... That says something.

@@Yokumare Not anymore, Blizzard's the one with the issues. Between consistently ruining their franchises with sub-par expansions and updates (or lack of updates) and their rather unethical business practices of late, I've washed my hands of them entirely.
What I was saying in my comment was a reflection of this viewpoint. Nobody is completely happy with them right now and it shows in this reveal. Compare this crowd's reaction (a crowd of people who are so blindly enamoured with Blizzard that many of them defend BFA, _one of the worst WoW expansions ever,_ as actually being good) to the crowds during the Wrath of the Lich King or even Mists of Pandaria reveals. Those are the most die-hard and stockholmed Blizzard fans still around and even they're not completely satisfied with what they're being shown here.
All style, no substance; Sylvanas can't "set everyone free" by switching the paradigm from living to dead... if what she was doing was actually something other people would agree with she'd have consulted with them and have a following, but even the Forsaken - literal living undead - don't seem onboard with her schemes.
Was kinda hoping she'd get beaten in this cinematic but I guess modern WoW only gives plot armour to "morally grey" characters with T&A rather than actual development...
I dont think she gives a fuck about what other people think.
I'm no lore expert but it looks to me that all she really wants is more power, and would be more than happy to sacrifice pretty much everyone on azeroth to get it.

During BFA I was super pissed with how they were developing her story (still am in some regards) because it didn't make sense with what her true nature is: She is SCARED AS FUCK of death. Because she saw what her fate would be, firsthand, when she killed herself after jumping off of Icecrown, her driving motive is to escape death - permanently. Now, her actions (most of them) at least make sense. Sylvanas is and always will be a cold, selfish-driven person.
She's not morally grey. She is straight up evil. What we constantly see throughout BFA and this cinematic is her trying to rationalize her actions which are simply to stop herself from eventually serving eternal damnation in the Maw. I think Blizzard did a real disservice by trying to push the notion that she could be morally grey.
Illidan is morally grey. He did some pretty fucked up shit but it was always in the name of the greater good. Sylvanas might claim she is "saving us all" but all she has done is doom hundreds of thousands of souls to a fate they didn't deserve in order to make HER stronger and save HER.
Y'all know nothing. Sylvanas always wanted to die and to be free of the prison of her body but when she died she went to the Maw and saw her future, and it wasn't good. So now that the rules are broken (not by her) and ALL the souls, good or bad, are going directly to The Maw, she wants to destroy Death (or The Maw) so she doesn't end there. Some of you want her to be another run of the mill villain but she's not, and that's interesting, regardless of your like or dislike of the character.
@@Ryan-yu5kt If by developing you mean "turning into a strong role model for independent, strong women that don't need _men_ to achieve their goals" then yeah, I guess they're developing her, but at this point she's far too strong and she has no weakness - no "kryptonite" - so she'll probably do something laughably childish like go kill Death itself.
I'd be crying if I thought they had talented writers, but the last few expansions show they do not
