The unique part of this arc is that it was BARELY scripted. No one in L’Manburg knew about eret’s betrayal, the duel’s outcome wasn’t decided, Wilbur and Tommy were literally just messing around and roleplaying Hamilton. Then it slowly turned into something bigger.
Technically none of the outcomes were decided, just later ones had plans for if they happened. I mean, Wilbur was genuinely gonna give up on L'Manburg until Tommy came back with the bittersweet news that he bargained for and got their independence. Also yeah, that arc wasn't scripted period, such a fun time
Ya, the outcome of the election wasn’t planned either. Wilbur said that he had a general idea for all the possible outcomes depending on who won. If i’m mistaken he said that if he and Tommy won it’d probably go full circle and he’d still go batshit crazy.

It feels so cool to think about how dream’s character developed in retrospect, it feels really subtly malicious at first here and just gets more evil from there
dude I love Dream and Tommy's lore they bounce off of each other so well and act incredibly and create such tension I love it so much

Picked up by animators such as Sad-ist as a line perfect for animations. Immortalised by Wilbur and later Niki, who both said it after a destruction of L'Manberg. The symbol of L'Manberg's inevitable doom. It truly was never meant to be...

watching you learn about and get gradually more invested in the dream smp over these past months has been one of my favourite things! if i could suggest something - i think you could really enjoy late august’s animations. the way they tell the story is beautiful and i love their use of music and colour.
also, c!dream’s decent is one of my favourite things about the story. his character is absolutely fascinating me and his writing is amazing.

One great thing about the Dream SMP lore is that as the story progresses, it just gets deeper and more interesting as time goes on. I would love to see more of your reactions to this, especially since the story only gets better and more compelling from here :D

Watching this makes me smile from nostalgia… but also realizing how much I’ve emotionally connected to this server and now it has the ability to make me cry many times. Proven by this weekend. Dream equated his thoughts on L'Manburg's revolution to throwing a party at your house (The Dream SMP) and inviting all your friends, then a few people took over your dining room (L'Manburg) and claimed ownership of it. When you think of it like that, I'm 100% on Dream's side.

There is actually a group in the fandom who are something like "Dream Apologists". I don't side with them, but I do support Wilbur as a villain, simply because I think he's a pretty well written villain!
The story gets better and better and more intense as it goes on. I would certainly recommend continuing watching this series!

Welcome to the rabbit hole that is the Dream SMP Mathew! This has been my hyperobsession for over a year now. I guess now you can guess why /lh. And don't you worry. It's gonna get better. Much, much better. You think this is deep lore? You ain't seen nothing yet /lh/pos. And that is only the overarching story. There are so many characters now who have their own extensive lore that has impact but is also separate from the main story. Ranboo and Karl for example. And recently Boomer has joined that group. There is so much to learn and so many secrets to uncover, it's one of the greatest stories to be made and it's all told with mild scripting and improv through Minecraft /pos

Honestly, I was there for the revolution and was on dreams side while watching Wilbur's pov. Not in any like- "oh they deserve their land blown up" way but like-
They started a nation on a literal drug van, and potions were illegal if I'm remembering right
Also both sides were so dramatic so I was so tense and hyped when all those traps were activated

Hey there's a really underrated artist that i enjoy that i haven't really seen anyone talk about yet and i think you might enjoy their music. They're called sodikken and their music is quite similar to jack stauber in a way. I personally recommend people eater as a beginning song to really get into their music

Mr. Mckenna there will be one point when schlatt will die. The scene was so dramatic but Wilbur revealed that in script was written schlatt have a fucking heart attack and dies but schlatt improvised his speech by himself for 3 scenarios.
This just started if you think this is much just wait next one is where things really get good
The way he laughs about it as if he’s playing it up for more than it is is actually so hard to watch considering that he isn’t in any way playing it up more

You should totally check out Cody Fry if you haven't done so already because his music is incredible. Right now he's nominated for a Grammy for best arrangement, instruments and vocals for his cover of Elenor Rigby by the Beatles.

It's insane how the influence of this minecraft server has led to everyone's Spotify Wrapped having "Dream SMP" as a top genre.
(Spotify included any music made by people associated with DSMP and its members under this Genre, even if the music was unrelated.)
Definitely keep watching! If you thought the L'Manburg revolution was dramatic, hoo boy, just wait until you get to the Manburg vs. Pogtopia war and then later Doomsday! And in the next episode, you'll see that they actually held a proper election, with different parties in the running, endorsements, an actual proper debate between parties, and a google form that the fans could fill out to actually vote for who they wanted to win!
