How to change front brake discs and front brake pads set on SUZUKI SWIFT 3 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

    00:12 - Raise the front of the car and secure on supports
    00:14 - Loosen the wheel mounting bolts
    00:24 - Remove the front wheels
    00:30 - Use a drive socket No.13. Use a combination spanner No.15. Unscrew the brake caliper fastening
    01:01 - Remove the brake caliper. Tie the caliper to the suspension or to the body with a wire without disconnecting from the brake hose to prevent depressurization of the brake system
    01:10 - Remove the brake pads
    01:20 - Use a drive socket No.17. Unscrew the caliper bracket fastening
    01:44 - Remove the caliper bracket
    01:59 - Use a Torx bit T30. Unscrew the brake disc mounting bolts and remove it.
    02:23 - Clean the hub and apply high temperature grease to the seating surface of the disc
    02:40 - Install the new brake disc on the hub and tighten the screws. Use a Torx bit T30
    03:03 - Clean the brake caliper bracket from dirt and dust
    04:22 - Install the brake caliper bracket
    04:41 - Tighten the brake caliper bracket. Use a drive socket No.17
    05:02 - Install new brake pads
    05:27 - With the help of a special tool push in the brake caliper piston to a stop
    05:43 - Install the brake caliper and fix it. Use a drive socket No.13. Use a combination spanner No.15

    Just wanted to say thanks for the video. I used it to remove the caliper and check the pad thickness for the first time on my 2010 AZG Swift which has 100,000 km on it. I have added new pads to my shopping list. Best wishes.

    You should remove the cover for the brake fluid revisiver before pushing in the brake piston

    The safe and correct way to service brakes too many dont follow safe processes when working on a safety critical item as the brakes.

      In general, the replacement will be the same, the only thing that may differ slightly is the design features of your car.

    Do you have to buy the special tool to wind the piston back in or can you use something else?

    Which grease to apply on caliper bolt? Caliper to wheel hub bolts?

      To lubricate the guides, grease 5 000 000 150 Bosch is used

      According to Suzuki Swift workshop manual you should change those rubber boots, slide pins go inside with each pads change, but if they're ok not letting grease out and dirt in, I dont see point in changing those.
      Also Grease used is Rubber grease, I think its silicon grease.

      Ate plastilube, but this is the same fron Bosch.

      It is a silicone-based grease (never use copper grease for any work on brakes). A brand called "Ceratec" make the correct grease for brake applications, but there are other brands too.

    Disc dimensions of this vehicle 252 mm or 276 mm?which disk should i buy?

    I’m in the United States and so far I have called 10 different auto stores and they can’t anything on this car 🤧
    What part number do they need for the front brake pads
