Why did they comment on Cristina’s nerves and not show us?? She looked solid during the performance and I don’t see her being nervous this late in the competition..
Yeah I was expecting some showing because they’ve done it like the WHOLE show, 20 episodes and then they decide not to show us? Felt weird. This is part of why I wanted a static camera angle for group performances BUT it’s a tv show so they made a business decision with the angles and such, it works well.
Considering A2K is primarily modeled after Nizi Project (Almost identical perhaps), it would make perfect sense that JYP would cite more from said show, rather than Sixteen.
I think If Cristina could not make it, it would be due to a character or attitude evaluation. From the last episode, Cris did not make the top three in a peer review along with Kendall and Kaylee. But apparently, Kendall got the most votes from the staff and there were several scenes of Kaylee helping others especially KG with dancing, but no hint was there for Cris’s character evaluation. Somewhat sad bcz I do like Cristina for her cheerful personality.
I agree, but I think she needed to be put in better positions with her voice because I don’t think it’s adequate most of the time I hear her. And I understand that I could be looking really hard for a flaw because I already seem to think she doesn’t make it through.
Yeah i agree that her voice often weakens and gets hoarse especially in the high notes. But we know that singing isn’t her strong point and overall her vocals(including rap) sounded fine to me😊
Kendall's singing had trouble but I love her rap. She has a unique vibe. And her face expression was crazy. KG's emotion was also good. KG was the best vocal among them. There was a little lack in her dance. However, it is important she's improved gradually in her dance. I think Cristina was good but plain. She needed something spice like JYP said in the previous eps. Gina is too... It's sad but I guess Cristina and Gina will be out of the team. 😭
No you aren't wrong. Kendalls vocals were unstable. JYP is wrong here. Trainers voted her high for her dedication and drive. That in my opinion deserves Kendall to debut. GO get it Kendal!!
my thoughts are they only gave negative criticism to some members only to make the finale more dramatic. unless they already have the final lineup set..
You wanted some kind of final decision on this episode???? I don't know why you would think that. It was part one of the final evaluation only. He's not making any final decisions until both evaluations are done. Once you get to the final episodes of Sixteen, (no spoilers) you will see the exact same final evaluation with 3 original songs (which all become part of TWICE's first album), 2 teams, different songs for 1st eval and same song and choreo for the second eval.
I think in regards to Kendall's vocals, it sometimes may be difficult for us viewers to really know the real sound. Being at any performance live is very different than any recorded video or audio that we hear on UA-cam. Sure JYP may have a bias toward her, but obviously the staff thinks a great deal of her as well. She is one of my 2 favorites on the show. She's drawn me in with her character, which is the opposite of Gina. And don't get me wrong, I've hoped for Gina to get better at drawing the audience in. Except for the last performance, she hasn't drawn me in to be attached to her. Really the only one that hasn't in some way. (It does seem like the other contestants really like her, so she has it...she just needs to take that to the stage)
You weren’t wrong about Kendall; vocally, she was by far the worst of the eight contestants tonight! I like Kendall; and I hope she makes the group; but she hasn’t performed anywhere near as good as JYP is claiming; and JYP’s clear bias towards her is not only very apparent; but is also becoming quite annoying! He’s been also that way with Christina; so I was surprised that for the first time in this series he was honest about her performance! Overall tonight, KG; Kaylee; Lexus; and Gina were the best; but none of the eight were outstanding!
I fully understand I’m biased toward KG to a decent extent but I thought she did fantastic with her vocals and seemed to do nothing wrong with her dance, but as far as Kendall I think she did great in the individual first mission and was the strongest of a weak performance the second time, but I can’t defend her last night, her expressions do well though. I can’t wait for tonight!
I don’t think you are wrong about Kendall’s vocal either. It was far from perfect. I think JYP missed something or pretends to, because Kendall already missed one stone and maybe he doesnt wanna drop her this time? I enjoyed her dancing, though.
i think jyp is a little delusional when he said there was nothing wrong with kendall's voice. i thought kendall's dancing was a bit stiff too. im not sure what he is seeing in her. i will say that the last round of performances seemed better but i blame the songs on that. i think both of these songs are probably rejected songs that are not good enough to release so he gave it to them to perform on this show. i especially didn't like the 2nd song. it felt like a disney channel theme song
I thought it was a stretch or maybe he was trying to give her encouragement going into the next song to see what happens…or maybe he has made up his mind to a further extent than he’s letting on, all of which are ok but a little disingenuous.
i was really disappointed with clover’s performance, they didn’t feel like a team 100%, more like 4 individuals. KG did so well! kendall… honestly JYP is making us dislike kendall because of his comments - it’s unfair to her. she really struggled here. lexi and savannah have improved SO much it’s insane. you can see how much the first team wants it and how much they practiced! also i think i have an unpopular opinion, i think gina still, seems stiff and hasn’t improved as much as savannah or lexi. i don’t know if gina has *it*. i didn’t like the song choices here, both of them, they seemed really juvenile
