Thank you so much Rita! Yes, I use a variety. I've been using Sennelier and Winsor and Newton for years! However, for the yellow nothing can substitute the Chinese Yellow paint chunks. Blessings to you too!
Excellent ma'am! It's a pleasure to look ar your work. Can you please explain the six canons of chinese painting in any of your videos? Actually I'm trained in Indian stream painting and we have our own six canons... So when I heard that there's something in Chinese painting with similar name that made me very curious.... But I haven't seen the practical application of those canons... 😊
I use both Chinese and Western watercolor (Sennelier, Winsor and Newton, and HWC). I always use Xuan Paper for floral paintings and then Ma or Pi paper for landscape.

Hi Nan, do you use regular watercolor paints or strictly Chinese paints? And do you always paint on rice paper?
