All time best Jam In The Van performance in my opinion.
yeah agreed, although Zack Deputy put a smile on my face..
Definitely up there with Zack Deputy, i really like all of Cherub's videos too!
dog queef nah. sorry bud but shakey graves has that tittle
yea buddy shakey graves is awsome!
Little Hurricane is a close second!
That has to be one of the most badass and unique names ever for a band
The dude on the tambourine is jamming the fuck out
+MassiveSteak98 dude looks like FRANKJAVCEE in disguise lel.
They're so fun to play with a kick ass band man. I usually play guitar, but when I'm jamming and the groove is right...there is something about those crashing little cymbals that turns you on
Lead singer of the Mystic Braves (in case you didn't know). He's pretty badass songwriter and a nice guy
maaan oh man that hammond playin'. top notch 60s vibes, was diggin that wah piana for sure. Great use of a classic organ sound
Ray Manzarek would be proud. Hist influence on this dude's keyboard playing is so clear.
Literally the first thing that came into my mind.
he's just copying it
sponk mcdonk most of Rays riffs are stolen from Latin/blues artists or from himself (soul kitchen, when the musics over) I mean it’s an organ man there’s only so many distinct sounds you can get from it
You know you're doing something right when you get haters chopping on a great performance like this.
So Bieber must be amazing then. This group is great but your logic...not so much.
Castigation and approbation are not mutually exclusive activities.
@@animalsmistakenformonsters1492 What a stupid argument. I think Bieber is shit but Bieber has sold millions of albums and sells out arenas. So yes, to millions of people around the world, he is amazing. You music snobs really are the worst.
I can't understand why this isn't more popular.
Most modern psyck rock band lack that organ sound which those guys have. It really achieves a certain "60s vibe"
yoo these dudes rock i love this hard to find decent new bands that arent corny
psychedelic 60's is back! great jam, great band...more!
nothing now is original, it's all based on inspiration, these guys are great, I dig their music.
It's different from what's out now, I love that it's different,
now for those who are saying "blahhh...not original....sounds like the doors except shittier" SHUT UP, I'd like to see you work your ass off in the music industry writing songs and then playing them.
+selena cortez Nioce meme, as much as our ego's might not want to admit, everybody is influenced by something/somebody M8. NOT unique to our generation, Blues for example is notorious for doing such... By the way there's a lot of good new/revised genres still coming out of everywhere rn especially with the internet, look at like Vaporwave, hardvapour, sea-punk, meme rap, beach-goth etc. So music isn't that bland unless you're listening to TOP 100 shit lmao. As far as originality goes there's a lot of pysch-garage out there being made it's not as unique as you make it seem. Though will say this band is made up of some great musician's even if they wear their influences on their sleeves. Answering your last question that's a bs fallacy m8 A. valid criticisms can come from anywhere you don't have to have an expert level experience to constructively critique something. B. If you still believe that little bs authority logical fallacy... I am a multi-instrumentalist whose been in the industry since I was a small child so I think I have been busting my ass, even though that's irrelevant to my critque'ing ;) lmao.
Actually sounds more like Iron Butterfly with hints of tha Animals and the Zombies. But I like it!
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn. I'm blown away, dude.
this band is PROOF time travel is possible,,these glorious bastards are straight out of the sixties. great shit.
Wonderful project, excellent video broadcast, marvelous band, beautiful song. Merci beaucoup !
This song is too good. Why is it not more famous?
I didn't realize it was a keyboard solo with all these wah wahs, incredible!
That's the guy from Mystic Braves on tambourine isn't it...? Love this so much, and I love Mystic Braves too. Cali man.
the drummer of Mystic Braves
lui bola thats what i thought at first. no. its the singer of mystic braves
He looks like he's John Kaye's grandson.
Yes the Keyboard riff is very The Doors-esque, but these guys have their own style. It's not like they are ripping off other artists. Of course a psychdelic band is going to have some characteristics from The Doors or other artists from the 60s Blues-psychdelic-rock era.
Ill agree there at first I said "doors ripoff" but then I started thinkin hey this guy is taking it where the doors didnt.. so it fits into all these other psychedelic keyboard riffs at the same time harkening back to the ray manzerak riffs. This shit is so solid it is simply ACID ROCK!!!! this is how you vibe people
Truth is there’s only so many ways to play a combo organ, it’s a very distinct sound also as much as I love ray manzerek even for ‘66 his playing wasn’t exactly innovative
"THE ANIMALS" is what you're hearing.
@@derrickblankenship5355 Sounds exactly like the riff in "Its My Life" by the animals. Heard it immediatly.
@@derrickblankenship5355 it's funny you say that because I saw these guys open for Eric burdon of the animals in Santa monica
Now that's what you call a JAM
idk this song gives me the same feeling I got when I first heard The Dream by Thee Oh Sees
Nowhere near as legendary or transformative but yeah a great groove
Haha same and then Tom joined Thee Oh Sees which was insane
Hey, do you remember that time that The Doors ran their keyboard through a wah pedal and had a bass player who ran through a distortion pedal? Wait, you don't? That's right, because that never fucking happened. Everyone stop bitching about who these guys ripped off and just enjoy the music.
Agreed...way too much of that these days...let them be them and do it how they want...maybe if this was a cover song or all they played but geeez give it a rest w that bs...great band
Funniest shit ever
a glimmer of reason, in a sea of nonsense.
lmao, right? Yeah, they sound straight 60s/70s. They dress like that too, but when you think about it, that's pretty convenient, considering all of the bands I like who sound like that are basically dead. So anytime I hear something like this or, say; the black angels or them crooked vultures, I get pretty pumped about it.
art is cyclical
It feels good to know this times are comming back :') peace my brothers
wow sick band. I'm impressed. I will definitely be rocking your music in Massachusetts
Esta es la música que buscaba. Deleite total ♥
This was freaking awesome!! I’m a fan.

I guess it's time to re-open my account at the psychedelic 'Brain Hotel'. Everybody is a kid to me now, except the Rolling Stones. Was he rolling a doobie while playing the organ~ ///good golly nice Jam in The van Forever

Artistrey in motion....in the van...so cool...................................
That´s awesome!
This was my 26th time watching this.
ooooou Yes, thats fantastic, very fine psychedelic rock, my heart gets open :))))
YES!
My fovorite band of the 20s..
He certainly is similar to manzarek, but this guy is very unique. Your mind is just making the connection because there arent many organists that rock out like that. Also that's not a hammond sound, it's a vox, and I believe it's coming out of a roland keyboard.
amazing!! great :)
That tambourine player, master of the high end.
His band is great! Check em out they're called Mystic Braves
Esto es lo que deberíamos ver en MTV y no tanta mierda de programa que dan ahora
