  • Undeterred by fatigue in the wake of the exertions of the MAX, Tom and Ob gird their loins, strap on their oversized pauldrons, and defiantly return to the cellar to carry out the grim business of sharing all the fantastic things they picked up at the show.
If you like swords you won't want to pass on this one!
    BOILERPLA... ER, GENERAL INFO:
I'd like to thank each and every one of you who take the time to watch DtC, and am very grateful to everyone who takes even more time out of their day to comment. In a perfect world Tom or Ob would be able to engage with everyone in the comment section, but alas the world is far from perfect. Tom doesn't know how (and refuses to learn) and Ob is a major Luddite paralyzed by techno-fear.. He's convinced his phone is spying on him.
    FAQ & A:
Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls UA-cam "the U-TOOBZ". Just email him, srsly.
    Tom's personal email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com
You can also call him if you prefer (856-866-8733) between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM, EST. This may be slightly more difficult because he's forever running around away from his desk, but it's worth a shot.
Q: I have an amusing anecdote, scathing criticism, or heartfelt compliment that I deeply need to express and I require / demand / long for a personalized response! What should I do?
    A: See "A" above.
    Again, Tom's email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com

The decoration on the naval swords is a dolphin. Also used on US naval swords.

Amazing Himmler dagger. I was the one at the MAX show that told you the story about Bob Burns. I posted my video today. If you could put that little clip of my story in your next unboxing that would be great. Your viewers would like that story.

The borderless SS armband wasn't worn on the black greatcoats. All photos and surviving examples suggest regular armbands were always worn. Its a weird thing that I know I would never personally pursue be it I had 1k to drop on an armband- Because no one knows the history of them for sure

OB should drink milk. The camera work leaves something to be desired!

Sometimes a person just needs to relax and not be so critical. Just sit back and enjoy the content. You just might learn something. Please remember they are doing this because they enjoy it. Btw the etching on the sword is a dolphin quite common on American Naval swords as well.

Although Tom is a real expert, I find it strange that after all these years he still can't really translate what is written in German. Take the stamp on the armband, for example. I've often noticed that in his videos.
