Japan is currently witnessing a sharp rise in a disease caused by a rare "flesh-eating bacteria", on Saturday (Jun 15). The bacteria can kill people within 48 hours. It has been spreading after the country relaxed Covid-era restrictions.

Okay so it apparently spread of contaminated or dirty water, flesh eating necrosis is apparently one of the rarest symptoms. It's not highly contagious as it's unlikely to spread from person to person but it's adviced to cover your mouth with a mask when youre sneezing or coughing and to keep good hygiene as well as covering and sanitizing(?) any open wound you might have
