У нас в России, мотоцикл Урал уже редко встречается на дорогах, не потому, что он не надёжен, или не моден, его стихия это бездорожье, он для жителей сельской местности, где нет дорог с твердым покрытием, для рыбаков и охотников. My biography to date, “ I was born I did stuff, I bought a Ural “ I’ve owned a lot of bikes, this one is by far the most fun. As to reliability , it’s basically 1945 technology with a few upgrades, carry a decent tool kit and you won’t have any issues.
Had 2 in Ontario, loved them but no dealers on PEI or NS or NB what a shame. Ural should get with Royal Enfield and open up some dealers on the east coast of Canada at least one in each province. Between the 2 they should be able to make a go of it, they are bough fun bikes and rigs.
Excellent review brother. Unlike other reviewers who constantly bitch about what a bike doesn't have, you told us what you liked about it. Looks like a fun little ride actually.
Stop being pansies, the only appropriate weapon for the sidecar is the Mk19... then maybe give the driver twin M240s mounted left and right of the front fender.
Hey Bumble check out F2 Motorcycles they are the importer and the Ural Tourist will have the chair on the correct side for the UK I think the price is around £15,000 but check the used ads as well, should be some around as they have been imported since the mid -seventies good luck on your search.
Privet, Igor! Those trailers are still available brand new at dealers... They remind us that this mototocycle were built for practical reasons! Greatings from Romania, moi drug!
Sidecar passenger must lean into the curve, turn right lean right turn left lean left, somewhat counter intuitive on a motorcycle. It is somewhat more like a car than a motorcycle when turning corners.
As someone who's never ridden a motorcycle before and is contemplating purchasing a Ural because of all the reasons you've mentioned, am I biting off more than I can chew picking a sidecar equipped motorcycle for my first bike? Thanks.
Perhaps I might get that as a first bike....hell maybe first vehicle if it's cheap enough (counting insurance since I'm still young XD) Edit: On Second Thought....maybe after I get some experience as I'm thinking about it....just wanted my first vehicle to be cheap yet fun
Alejandro Cotilla Just as with the motorcycle you have now, it is as dangerous as you are stupid... not meant as an insult, just an appropriate comment to remind you that as long as YOU understand that YOU don’t have enough experience, and YOU drive accordingly, you should be fine. Good luck on the bike you have, and the Ural you should also get.
I have been thinking of getting one, but at $19k USD for a 750 cc engine, with a long history of terrible reliability. Even reading on ural forums, the new ones still have terrible reliability
@Axlerod Horowitz you should let the dealers know about resale value because when I looked at a dealer for a used one there was not enough difference, I would pay the extra for a new with the warranty. And they need more dealers there are none in PEI, NB or NS. One of the reasons that a lot of people will not buy one is lack of dealers, when touring on a bike you do not want to have to go 1000 miles through 2 provinces to get a simple part, If they would open up more dealers and have a good network they would sell a lot more bikes, as they are great and fun to tour on, or just ride around.
@MotoGeo - What are the guidelines/rules for kid pillion riders in California. My daughter wants to ride motorcycle with me but I am not sure if I am allowed to have her as pillion rider. Please advice.
Montae fck Jamie lol. Did you not notice the huge tailback of cars ? I've not taken the offer up to ride one but they do say if you don't do it properly you won't make the 1st corner, is this right ??
I own a Ural...nah they are not hard to ride and you will make the first corner.. it’s not a big deal.. a little riding common sense like any motorcycle...after a couple thousand miles it’s all second nature and you won’t even think about it.. I have owned cruisers and have had my R1 for 11 years.. this bike is so much fun.. and easy to ride...
Such motorcycle has never been produced in Russia, the factory is bought by the United States and produces other motorcycles under the stolen brand, the real uranium is known only in Russia.

Старина, ты всё правильно написал, но про тот советский аппарат.
А это новый, все права на нево принадлежат американцам и стоит он от 650.000.

I bought mine in 2015 and I’m still in love with the machine!
I'm sitting home in bed with a broken kneecap, unable to ride, watching this and smiling. Thank you.
quick recovery for futur.
For anyone considering one of these, pick one up! Absolute riot. I love mine, as does anyone who comes in contact with it.

I can tell you love this thing. I believe you are the only one who has done multiple reviews.
Can’t wait for my son to be old enough to ride on the back or in a side car. It looks a ton of fun!
For now, you will just have to use some bungee-cords and strap him to the luggage rack.

The smile per gallon looks pretty high on this one
imperial or US gallon? Metric please! KG, (no LBS Lot of Bull Shit), KILOMETRE and MILLILITRE. No FLUID OUNCE Fl.Oz!
Need this one in India 😍
love the Ural. Great review.
Love the ural! I imagine hitting the green lanes in the peak district or the dales would be great fun on one.

Looks like a blast! I wish it could be ordered with an MG42 for the sidecar :-)
You are confusing Ural with Zündapp or BMW 71 :D
Ural M72 usually came with DP-28.
Right- and this is a Russian bike. In it's green iteration though, it would make a worthy facsimile :-)
🤣🤣🤣
Twin 50 Cals more like it 😈

Well presented, thank you.

SOME DAY!
In Russia (in the villages), a trailer device is attached to the URALS, the trailers transport crops, building materials, etc.
Privet, Igor! Those trailers are still available brand new at dealers... They remind us that this mototocycle were built for practical reasons! Greatings from Romania, moi drug!
Awesome video thanks for sharing
I like it too
For the Adventurer model in Canada it would be close to $23,000 out the door, ridiculous !
saw a Ural with the Offroad Package and was told it cost about the same in the US
Nice bike
@3:43 are you causing all that traffic? That’s an Ahole move brah
Sidecar passenger must lean into the curve, turn right lean right turn left lean left, somewhat counter intuitive on a motorcycle. It is somewhat more like a car than a motorcycle when turning corners.
Where about from England are you from??.. Scouser here. And looking at Trikes, sidecars, and everything in-between. Ohio is a bit thin on the ground.
mantap bro, I like it
Would you consider getting a lap belt for the sidecar passenger?

OK enough already,, I cannot get one until a certain day comes...

Wanted one for ten years. Just decided if I wanted one for that long? Best decision I ever made.
Not at all. Learning curve was very short for my wife. Get one.
Look around for a training outfit near where you live (or travel to one) to level out the learning curve.
Looks awesome although the old Urals were infamous for there hit and miss build quality, hopefully they've sorted that out with these newer ones?
yes
They are good now. Steadily upgraded design plus parts are now built by the same Taiwanese, Thai etc suppliers that Ducati, Triumph etc use.

wow lovely
Never seen one before not even here in Chicago.
Sara Yuki
I had a Shiba Inu named Yuki Tatsu.... I miss my little boy, he was a good dog.
One thing is lifing the sidecar up, but turning to the left and applying brake, and having the rear wheel lift up is a whole other thing
I have less than a month experience riding a motorcycle, would this be dangerous for me?

It is kinda fun, but whoever pays almost 20k for that shoud have his/hers head examined.
Urals are awesome
About the same price in Canada. 19K CDN. Given the exchange you might save some money buying up here, although a hassle.

Great👍
is it durable machine?
Моему скоро 50 лет
Man what advice do you have for a fellow Brit dying to get one here in the U.K. but man you can’t get them because the side car being on the right 😕
You can get models for the UK with a lefthand sidecar, but only 1WD, not 2WD.
Try F2 motorcycles in UK. Kind regards.
Having a passenger ride pillion on a sidecar rig it makes it unstable passenger should be long in the Sidecar
Flying the car, stress on tires, wheels, frame.
Right hand sidecar no longer legal in the UK, so no 2 wheel drive for us.
They now have 2 wheel drive
For left hand sidecars

This is brilliant. Shame in Oz it's about $35,000!!
In Russia it cost 5 000$ in America over 15 000 $ its not fair!
