As a child growing up in Jamaica we didn’t have radio to provide us with news especially if a storm was coming, so we would watch the birds, dogs and ants behavior very careful and they would tell us if a Strom is coming and we would put plans in place.

So Owls have many super powers.
Most of them can:
1. Rotate their heads 270 degrees
2. Fly quietly
3. Hear 10 times better than humans
4. Travel upto 70 miles, above waters. (which means non-stop flight)
5. See perfectly with night vision and Binoculars-type nature of their eyes
Owls are now my new favourite animal. 🦉
Other powers that may not be counted as "super" include:
1. They're beautiful
2. Their sound is unique and cute
3. A group of owls is called a 'Parliament' 😄

And if that weren’t enough, they also know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll’s Tootsie Pop. Smh😮
4. Chickens float. Owls probably float too, like ducks and chicken

The owl flight was perfection
Owls are one of the coolest animals on earth. And ever since I saw The 4th Kind, I can’t help but think of them as supernatural beings whenever I see them

That; combined with their enhanced hearing abilities -- and no wonder they're such successful hunters.
Yet, they're so beautiful.🥺 I love looking at them and their abilities. Silent flight, amazing eyesight and hearing. I grew up reading "Guardians of Ga'Hoole" during my junior high years. That was when my love for them came to life.🥺
The dog knowing the woman had breast cancer. Yeah that definitely put tears in my eyes. I love dogs so much

Dogs are awesome.
The owl struck me as the most awe inspiring. They are amazing creatures. Silent flight, able to turn their heads almost all the way around, incredible vision. I would say that the owl possesses multiple super talents.
They might make for good eats too.
Dogs are the best, they helped us hunt for food to survive in prehistory and now they're diagnosing cancers and helping with a whole range of other stuff

That how I knew I had cancer. My landlord's dog that loved me so much, began barking at me all of a sudden. These animals are amazing!

If u notice even tho animals can't speak they're able to smell cancer and hear rats under ground I think animals have some kind of connection with God that we will never know about..

That dog and cancer thing is crazy. To be able to smell cancerous chemicals? Wow. That’s insane to think about. Dogs truly are way too good for humans. They were created specifically to help us be better human beings. I definitely believe that.

My dad's friend had a heart attack while smoking a cigarette at a balcony at night. Wife was asleep. Their cat made so much noise that he woke wife. Guy lived.

I live in the PNW and often see Owls hunting. I ride my bike on lots of trails and am always so happy when I see an Owl. I’ve had them fly next to me while I was riding, seen them hunt and eat! A few months ago I watched for 20 minutes as this squirrel gave a younger Owl fits trying to catch him. It was funny seeing such an amazing hunter made to look silly by this squirrel. Pretty much all birds of prey are simply amazing to me.
It was fascinating to learn about the amazing abilities that animals have. It also made me appreciate the natural world even more.
Ye my girlfriends dog detected testicular cancer in me too. This is very very real. He would smell my crotch all the time and then Wimper a little. Than I started experiencing pain like 3 days later went to the doctor and boom diagnosed with testicular cancer

Mother nature .Truly unbelievable
That's so interesting to see how animals can develop such peculiar behaviours. Our crew filmed an extraordinary story of behaviour change regarding sperm whales. It's incredible to see how fast they developed a new strategy in order to survive, and everything happened too fast to be considered genetic evolution.
It seems that animals are capable of abstract thinking. Btw, have you seen a group of whales sleeping? It's super cute. I think it was sperm whales too.
One time in the middle of the night, I went out to take out the trash, as I walked out the door and the motion light turned on, there was an owl 15 ft from my door in the yard. We both froze for a minute, the owl toughened up its feathers and appeared the size of a large trash can. It was a spiritual experience, I could feel that the owl was on a higher level of consciousness. I backed into the door and took out the trash in the morning, I was not gonna test that glorious beast.

The saying of our forefathers that elephants can hear you talking even from far away is true. In our tradition we were never allowed to speak about them disrespectfully. Observation is the greatest tool for survival

Even when flapping their wings owls dont make a sound so the explanation for that is nòt gliding....there is more to it. I personally think its the rotating movement....

The owls feather structure is largely responsible for its silent flight, each feather has a feathered end, it is not hard and smooth like other birds. I am surprised they did not mention this. This is why the owls flight is silent.
