I'll have to introduce my Scottish husband to your channel. We are selling our farm here and moving back to America. He's so curious about "how it's all done" in America.
Your instruction is top notch. You draw attention to the fiddly and easily missed details that make or *destroy* your day on a farm. Especially the, "Before you go, first make sure..." hoo yeah, or your neighbor in the next town will be bellowing over the phone to come get yer cattle out of their immaculate lawn! Or the wet land is poached into concrete by a million hooves...
You give instruction very clearly too. Maybe it's just a pet peeve of mine but when instructing you don't spend a lot of time padding things out with blabbing in-between which is refreshing at least for my brain.
I think this is why veterans are such a good fit for agriculture, we are trained to pay attention to detail, to maintain situational awareness, think ahead to what can go wrong, all those buzz-phrases that transfer nearly seamlessly to Ag. Farming is just like a mission: 5 minutes into it and EVERYTHING goes wrong in some way or other!
Just like a military task or mission, totally unpredictable and the job you set out to do ends up 8 different problems that need solving *first* before you can get to the original task! You can never relax on a farm just like with flight ops or changing out a rotorhead. Simple: do A and B and viola, job done! NOPE. 🤣🤣🤣It's never that easy! And I think we veterans KNOW this already. We aren't taken by surprise and so we don't give up and throw in the towel. Reality on a farm is already a known reality to a veteran!! 😆
