Yes, to turn it off, look for a label around the middle of the keyboard. If you’re using a P-125 like mine, you should see a “-“ button on middle C (the middle of the keyboard.) Press and hold the metronome button and while you’re holding the metronome button down, with another hand, press the key with the - button. Then you’re all set! It will be off.

I’d like to eliminate the metronome on the Yamaha 809

I'm having a problem with my metronome, every 6th beat I get a ding. It was working fine last time I used the metronome, but now it's working but I get a weird ding sound on every 6th beat, do you know what the problem might be

This is fixable! Press and HOLD the metronome button. (Make sure the metronome is on while you do this.) While holding the metronome button, you should see, right about the middle of the piano, a setting that says “METRONOME”. To turn off the 'ding,' click on the - button. It's right above middle C. If it's still on, you might need to press the button (-) a couple of times. You should hear a 'click' when you've pushed it to confirm it's off. If it did turn off, you can release the metronome button. Hope this helps!

I can’t figure out how to turn it off, I never turned it on myself and now it just stays on and none of my keys are making sound

I’ve never seen anything like this. Your piano might’ve switched to a setting. Let me see if I can help you turn that off.
