Seen here by not needing the safety wheels. Which are there only on the test vehicle to mitigate high insurance for test drivers.

Its not about the wheels. Its about the technology in the electronic systems that Mercedes is putting into their products. Such as when that rig hits the brakes to avoid hitting the car, that was automated meaning a computer did that not the driver. The wheels that you see are just a preventative to make sure nothing goes wrong in the case of a electronic malfunction
there must be a specific frequency of steering that'd cause the vehicles to tip, and seeing how the swerving period wasn't that long, the test doesn't really prove much. also, if those stabilizers touched the ground at all, then the test is redundant.
I saw this in a movie "Ben Hur". Roman (I think) chariots had blades extending from each axel. Now I understand its purpose. It was not meant for chopping your enemies wheels. It was for stability.

Only the Germans would have the balls to load a bus full of observers to demonstrate the system. In the USA we couldn't do an empty bus test unless the observers were in a tower on an unrelated mountain via video screen. This is putting your money where your mouth is, very impressive.
