i was last year in Canada at this time. I was traveling with a truck driver for 1 week from saskatchewan to new brunswick a beautiful country. Greetings from Switzerland excuse my bad English
One if not the best ever farming video I've ever seen... I'm in my 50s and have been in what I thought was large scale farming..... till I saw this... excellent many thanks for posting... P.s who made this excellent film? A certain Mr spielberg..? Greetings from the u.k.
I recently posted a harvest video covered with my drone to my UA-cam channel and the biggest satisfaction I got was from the farmers 50s and up who had been farming their whole life and had never seen their land from this perspective. It was very cool seeing their smiles!
what a great video. Thank you. I am a farmer in the UK and I am very seriously considering moving to Canada to farm. Do you have any advice? Every blessing to you.
+John Woods hi John, I know it will be a challenge for you because land around here is becoming more and more expensive. Some areas are good some are not, just wondering how did you get to see my video all the way from the UK?
Hi, thanks for the response. I am researching farming techniques in North America as part of our plans to move to Sask. so spend some time watching videos from Canadian farmers and I found you! Land values here are dropping slightly because of the UK's vote to leave the European Union (Brexit) but are still around £10,000/ ac. (around C$17,000 ac). We were hoping to move to be able to practice our faith more openly and to start a farming heritage for our 4 children. Any advice you could give would be most welcome.
+the Donley HI, it was raining in the middle of harvest and the reason the swathers were there is because the wheat was dried and ready. We also harvest canola seed, and we can't straight cut canola, so we need swathers, great question though.
Not a farmer but I have always lived in the country. I have never seen that black seed before what are you harvesting? I'm from Indiana in the states, I have only ever seen corn, sorghum, and soybeans.
God's Good Earth Oh, did not expect such a modern Operation so far north. Is it family owned or Huterites? Could you finale Start planting? Over here barley allready pushed out beards..

Nice
Thanks for the video. If you can combine right behind the swather why not just straight cut the grain?
+the Donley HI, it was raining in the middle of harvest and the reason the swathers were there is because the wheat was dried and ready. We also harvest canola seed, and we can't straight cut canola, so we need swathers, great question though.
Okay thanks for answering my question.
What variety of Canola? How many acres?Great video
we farm around 20,000
I am not sure what variety of Canola, I would have to ask the field boss,
Not a farmer but I have always lived in the country. I have never seen that black seed before what are you harvesting? I'm from Indiana in the states, I have only ever seen corn, sorghum, and soybeans.
