That was actually a question for my exam at the soundschool around 200 years ago or so - how long should the release be on the compressor if you want to "duck" the music at, say, a radishow. A tiny bit longer than the longest silent part before the music starts?? Correct, young man.

you often press a button with you pinky, but still keep your hands stretched out, so it isn't really clear which button you're pushing...
