Cataclysm healing needs a specific mention. Damage profiles of bosses and the power of healers is completely reworked. Triage healing is how Blizzard pitched it originally and it really felt like triage in the first tier. Gone were the days of every heal in your kit topping people off in one cast, and people staying at 50-75% health was not a death sentence. Also mana mattered quite a bit at the beginning of the expansion, but that might not be the case when we revisit Cata as I expect the fights to be a lot shorter in 2024 now that the player base is so much better overall.
This. Cata healing was absolutely delightful… it was sooo damn fun and challenging at the same time. In Cata you can clearly see when a healer is good or bad. No more Hpala/Rshaman/Dpriest/Rdruid spamming a single button without caring about mana. I’m soooo looking forward to heal in Cata once again.
Heroic dungeons were not that hard at Cata launch. The main problem was that a lot of random groups failed the damage checks. A fireball with 9% base mana cost was also super expensive. Dropping damage output further.
Just here to give some boost to the algorithm! I'm really looking forward to Cata, and I hope you'll find the time and effort to make videos on it with all the other versions going on at the same time!
I loved cata, i just got my first apartment when it came out and built my own gaming room and played mage so much.. i dont understand the hate it got, pvp was great
Cata is going to be interesting. Mechanically it is far superior to something like WOTLK heroics and raids, but attitude people had to it back in the day was less than positive. I don't think I'll play, but I want to read about what people will experience.
I srtaed playing in Wrath and hated healing because it was so boring. You never ran out of mana and you just spammed your "low efficiency" heals on repeat and everyone lived. Cata was HARD. I remember the heroics being brutal and I loved it. I had to pay attention and learn and use all my buttons
oh one thing you forgot, cata also introduces craftable pvp gear. can craft (or buy on ah) a full set of blue lvl 85 pvp gear at start of cata, and with each new pvp season a higher item lvl set of blue pvp gear is craftable. So if you got the gold (and/or mats), you can buy pvp gear from a crafter. I just don't remember if the recipes for pvp gear was bought with honor or mats related to craft needed to make them.
Having played Classic until now, I do understand what was lost to the game with Cataclysm. But, Cata was where I finally was in a place in my life to FINALLY play the game with 12 million fans. Plus, as an enjoyer of the RTS games and having read Day of the Dragon many tines over I was stoked to have such an iconic villian as my entry point. The fond memories many have for Vanilla, Cataclysm is where they were made for me.
Happy to see this. So many people forget just how many good things Cata brought to the game. I see people all the time talk about Cata features and claim it was Wrath.
People really seem to forget that Cataclysm was WotLK but BETTER. Better PvE, better PvP.. the only thing I think that destroyed Cata was the world revamp. Blizz really revamped the world entirely too early…
What I remember best about coming into Cata from Wrath the first time around is the difficulty of the dungeons. Wrath dungeons were a joke - we didn't have the alpha/beta/gamma versions originally and so Wrath dungeons were... "easy" would be an understatement. You could just pull basically whole dungeons and be done in 8 minutes. Then when Cata hit suddenly not only did we have to carefully pull trash packs so as not to get any extras (watching patrols, etc), but using CC on marked targets was mandatory. You got yelled at if you accidentally broke sheep with aoe bc it could and often did wipe the group. It was so much harder! Unexpectedly so!
people forget the power jump from 80 - 85 is huge, every level was significant, as this was the expansion we got the great increases to hp pool if i remember correctly its like going from 20-100k for a dps and 40-150k for tanks
Yes I do agree that the numbers went way too high and that's because pre-WoD(and especially pre-BFA) the stats scaled super exponentially with ilvl and by Cata they had to up the base player stats so that the players didn't get double the power every tier. I'd don't mind them in Cata, MoP is where they got crazy(no need to mention Legion), but if they squish them I wouldn't mind at all either.
@@rattlehead999 Pretty sure the hp jump was from your base hp, not from stats. You see it every time you get a new level between 80 and 85. Your stats remain pretty much the same, but your hp magically increases with like 10-20k. Also, Cata never had the same 2ndary stat bonanza as WotLK or MoP. Full Dragon Soul BiS gear 2ndary stats looked more like mid expansion stats from WotLK and MoP. I remember Blizzard themself saying that they did this to promote their new "triage healing" philosophy and to make PvP less bursty.
I am hoping that they properly tune the 10 man release raids this time. I remember a lot of guilds that fractured in preparation for 10 mans only to have issues because the mechanics and add health were the same as the 25 man. For example, you needed three interrupts per platform on Nefarian in Blackwing Downs. A 25 man raid this was easy to do, a 10 man raid not so much. It usually meant as a DPS that you had to have an interrupt or join a guild/group that was doing 25 man.
Hello, contragz on the well done informational video of classic series! I got one question about a WA you are using...(Debuff on nameplates). I use it as well, but in my case the debuffs dont overlap the name of the target like in yours. They mix and it becomes harder to track them. Can you share what is the specific setting you use in order to overlap the name for the debuffs? Thank you!
Cata was when I was peak raiding. Throne of the four winds was probably my favorite raid along with firelands. Bastion of twilight was right up there as well. Heck all the raids were good imo except spine of death wing fight. Horrible horrible boss
Both Spine and Madness were bad mechanically and didn't even feel like a cool dragon fight when you're just fighting slimes, elementals, and tentacles.
Gonna try hopping into wrath on a mage to level for cata, started in pandaria so i never got to see any of the older stuff. hopefully i can muddle my way through
I echo the majority in thinking Cata was a good expansion. The endgame was solid and being there in real time as it was happening I really liked it. Its biggest downfall was ALWAYS its marketing and use of the old world. Not many people saw it due to the fast lvling and it was used for NOTHING beyond dungeon queuing early on. Majority of new zones were good (with exceptions like barrens split/loch modan drain etc imo) but there was absolutely no reason to interact with it beyond basic curiosity. Killed the world and made wow into an instance game. Oh and Deathwing was wasted as a villain coming after Arthas especially.
The thing that I hated about cata heroic raiding was the on the fly difficulty swap (just like icc). It made it so that progression was just "wipe on this boss 15x, then swap to normal, faceroll it and move on" I loved the thrill of defeating a new boss and finally getting to see what was beyond it. But live difficulty swap combined with choose your own boss order raids killed that for me.
The problem I have is that the amount of design choices that were great additions to Cata is the same as the horrible changes that I dislike. I wish they would just make the best version of a classic game to expand on instead of just nostalgia bate each expansion.
First time playing Cata. Never got to play it on initial launch. Back then I only get as far as (early) Wrath expansion. Got excited that I was able to get into the Cata Beta and have been enjoying the quality of life changes. I know some of the lore though and Garrosh is not my Warchief.
Cata was great for raiding in many areas. Almost all group buffs were covered by multiple specs so you get that middle ground between mixing classes and not having certain classes be completely mandatory. 10-man raiding was very fun and challenging for the most part, despite the forever 10 vs 25 argument. Somethings that I think they could improve on: "spread out" mechanic could be more forgiving in 25 man groups since this is a lot easier to do for 10. "Giant nukes" in 10 man could be retuned to account for the fact that you may not have a CD to cover every single nuke the way you do in 10. I enjoyed this expansion thoroughly, except Spine and Madness: those fights are just bad and also didn't feel like you're actually fighting the main villain of the expansion. I also disliked going back to Firelands for the rest of the expansion to build the legendary, but i can at least tolerate it.
I've not been excited for an expansion release like this since... Well... Fricken Cataclysm man! The content was super freaking hard back at launch and was even still hard after a ton of nerfs to enemies and dungeons. I might start a guild of my own just because that was my role back then as well. Guild Master. Unfortunately Pandaland killed my guild directly. I get the chance after more than half of my life has passed since I played it and im going to experience the exp that I felt like a god on. See ya in game!
I'd be careful. On beta emblems werent transfered into gold/points. Herlooms could be purchashed with points tho. And all heirlooms your character knew got wiped out. Unsure if they did that so that we dont use them or not
I used to play during cata as a pre teen to teen and I had tons of fun. I remember not really understanding my prot pally needed stam as his main stat until someone called me out for needing on non stam gear and I was so confused haha
Never really did the pve back in the day but spent a good few months on a private server to see if it was actually any good and i freaking love it. Cant wait for Cata, its gona be a good time
Looking forward to Cata. I didn't get to play it much beyond heroics originally because of work. The heroic Cata 5 man's are probably my favorite of any expansion. I know it becomes more like retail, but I don't care. Classic has been fun, but it becomes a more complete and fun to play game as the xpacs roll out. Cata and Panda are gonna be fun.
This is also THE most alt friendly expansion WoW has ever had. So if you like raiding, it is reasonable to do so on a number of toons and there is little upkeep.
question is why don't i have any TBC servers too choose from? i feel very sad that i can't play my favourite expansion. but people get too play Vanilla over and over if they want too.
While I agree that TBC is probably the best version of the game, it's in a tough spot as far as keeping a playerbase. In Blizzard's shoes, do you just open up TBC fresh servers? Do you make SOD progress into TBC? Or do you just make the current vanilla servers progress into TBC, when they've been vanilla only for YEARS at this point. There's just no easy way to go about it, and there just won't be enough people to make it worth it (in Blizzard's eyes.)
oh yeah people give cata and MoP too much shit, they were actually the fun kind of challenging, and when you didn't outright need addons to tell what was happening WoD though...it was the expansion that turned me off, mainly because I was a shaman main and uhhh shaman was put into the ground that expansion legion wasn't much better about it, and honestly leveling that expansion was boring as shit as I didn't feel like I was getting stronger
Hey WillE If i have 75k honor when cata releases and only 4k will stay and 71k honor per point of honor will turn into 35silver. 35x71k is 2,485,000 silver which also equals 24,850 gold???? am i misunderstanding or should i be chillin in bgs rn lol?
When Cata came out, I couldn't stand it. The destruction of the world really rubbed me the wrong way, I lost all of my favorite questing areas, and nothing was familiar anymore... However, looking at it today, I have been without those questing zones for so long, (I didn't jump into wrath classic due to having played private servers in the past, I already had my fill) I'm already used to the world being wrecked after all these years. I love the lore of cata, but I was never able to explore it in depth because I was far too young at the time, and this time around I will be able enjoy it properly. I'm excited to jump into it with far older far more mature eyes.
If they tweak the AP grind and fix the drop of the Legendaries i think it may make Legion perfect ! Although i would suggest giving the Catalyst to get a Tier set piece, because i played SV Hunter and the Tier set was kinda making the class have a more than decent dps and i knew i wouldn't be admitted to raids (pugs)to get it. I was so discouraged... i remember quitting after 1 year when the new raid released.
@@General12th im not insulting the people, i dont give a damn if they play WOD, if they enjoy it, so be it. ive heard it has great raiding. my problem lies in the fact that WOD is an incomplete expansion through and through. to rerelease it in that same state? as im sure they will? c'mon. it really displays an extreme lack of care from blizzard for the playerbase, more so than they already do. its really exploitative at that point
@@pigslam I'm sure they're aware of why WoD was so badly received and will be incentivized to at least fill it out a little more. Cata hasn't even reached beta, and we're already sure about our predictions for WoD? Seems like a lot of (probably justified) pent up frustration, not reality. I probably won't play WoD either unless they announce big changes/additions, but it's way too soon to say what their moves are gonna be. They want Classic to succeed, and an as-was WoD release would be a big nail in the Classic coffin. We don't need to imagine monsters hiding in a future closet, plenty real and current things to worry about (or be happy about, don't know if that's your thing(?)) in the meantime...
Here we go again where everyone is excited than quits and complains after a month. I said the same thing with BC and WOTLK, doesn’t hit the same anymore lmao
I wish they'd hurry up and do the EverQuest thing with TLP servers. Get those vanilla to wrath servers going for those of us that enjoy the original trilogy. And like those EQ TLP servers, most will stop playing at cata similar to when the planes of power expansion drops.
Cataclysm was great. The HC dungeons actually teached me the tool kit of my class since you couldn't just face roll everything. From leveling my first character in WotLK I learned how to properly CC and interrupt the correct targets to finally be able to kill Deathwing on Heroic by the end of the expansion. Cataclysm gave me good reason to become a better player and start raiding in a guild.
Whether you loved or hated it, Cata is the official death of the Classic Era of WoW. The era of WoW the majority of us are most fond of. I enjoyed the raiding in Cata, I DPSed as a Lock and tanked and healed as a Pally, it was fun, but that special feeling of the original era of WoW was gone. Maybe I was a little older and had outgrown the game but it definitely didn’t feel the same. I hope everyone that plays Cata Classic, for their own nostalgia or just to try it for the first time, loves it and enjoys the changes!
Let's say that you are right and it is cata, and not something else, that is the death of the classical game. The question is whether this is good or bad? It seems to me that the classics are no longer able to satisfy the needs of modern players.
I think you're probably right. And also the reworking of the Old World being forced upon players back then kind of backfired. I think a lot of people came to resent the new zones and miss the old ones. But now, there are three (3!) different realms that allow you to play in the Old World (Era, Hardcore, SoD). So I think that problem is avoided
The raiding changes make sense. I quit wrath because I didn’t want to do the 10 man and also the 25 man. It was a joke for someone who was only interested in PvP.
Hi @WillE, thank you for your Video. Do you think there is a chance that blizzard change 10 men raiding, so we have to do 25men raiding to do the hardest content? Thank you for ur answer!
The comparison on Lich King clears seems incorrect. If I'm understanding what you said at 13:41 the logic is flawed. You are comparing GUILDS that cleared ICC back in 2010 vs KILLS in classic WOTLK. Guilds would have multiple kills to their name just as they do now, and given the length of the expansion at the time, you could easily multiple that number by 5 to 10. That 1101 Guilds that cleared ICC HC would translate more closely to 5000+ kills at a very conservative estimate. Realistically you're probably looking at around 10000+. So no, there are not more people/guilds killing LK in 2024 than there were back in 2010.
Progress kills counts as first kill for a guild on WCL, not total kills logged overall - there have been over 26k Lich King HC25 kills in the past 2 weeks. classic.warcraftlogs.com/zone/statistics/1020#boss=856&metric=fightwipes Theres way way more people doing harder content now 100%
@@WillEmmoThanks for clarifying the discrepancy. There's one thing that still puzzles me given what you just said in your reply, and that is "Progress kills counts as first kill for a guild on WCL" Do you happen to know how many users must be from the guild for it to count and if this is consistent with the old methodology? I'm curious mainly due to the nature of raiding in Classic WoW vs Old wrath, and how GDKP factors into this. Perhaps I'm just skeptical but something about these numbers doesn't add up when comparing player size and activity. Maybe it's just the general player profile of classic players being higher skilled on average and having more resources available, making it easier for the average player to upscale in difficulty compared to retail Wrath. It could just be the classic scene is just heavily skewed in some capacity compared to retail/old wrath but the distribution doesn't seem even or natural when compared to most games whether it's MMOs or otherwise. This won't really change the numbers you outlined, but I'm more interested in the "how" and "why" of it than just the general statement of "more players doing harder content" which, even if true, may be artificially skewed. (not a criticism, just an observation, pondering the implications)
I don't hate Cata but it was where I started to care less for Wow. I know a lot of people share this opinion. One thing I am grateful for this for is the fact that once WoTLK turns into Cata, real Classic will be much more populated. I will still focus more on Classic, but I'll probably have at least one toon play through Cata.
heroic in cata is equivelant to mythic, in mop they added mythic for SoO iirc. the following xpack was normal was like easy mode, heroic was like normal, and mythic was like heroic, for the content its the mythic equivelant
Do we really need the titan rune dungeons? We got ZG ZA as catchup and the hour of twilight catchup dungeons before dragon soul patch. The raids will be completely useless if titan runes get released, unless the titan runes gives “raidfinder quality” items
The Raiding format in Cata was excellent(in MoP too). It's still my favorite as I like 10 Man groups the best and I don't mind that some bosses were easier or harder on 10 or 25. But what they forgot is to make an easy raid difficulty equivalent to WotLK's 10 Man Normal. There should have been a raid difficulty that is after Normal Dungeons, but before Heroic Dungeons(and NO auto-grouping like LFR). The dungeons were awesome too both pre-nerf and post-nerf. And we got a dungeon tier for each raid tier, which was awesome. The currency rework was great, Justice/Valor is a great system.
LFR difficulty/loot without actually giving LFR system seems neat in case there's a need for more casual stuff! Might need to create it for the earlier tiers if you want a more casual-friendly BWD or FL. Would hate to see a return of actual LFR
@@Sprosbold Yes, exactly they should have had an "Adventure" 10/25 man Difficulty from the get go(4.0) and it would right after Normal Dungeons, giving you 6-7ilvls higher than Normal dungeons(maybe even reduce Normal Dungeons by 6-7ilvls as well) and no Set bonuses or just 1 set bonus. So for example Tier11(4.0): Normal Dungeons = ilvl 333(or even lower since some of them are (80-84)leveling dungeons that drop as low as 272ilvl) Adventure/Easy Raid = ilvl 339 Heroic Dungeons = ilvl 346 Normal Raid = ilvl 359 Heroic Raid = ilvl 372. Another Idea I've had for a long time is to make the highest raid difficulty(in this case Heroic in Cata) drop the same ilvl as the previous one(Normal), but have 1x more gem socket per piece. This way you reduce the power creep of stats and gear. But the gear also looks visually better(not just a pallet swap). Since realistically you don't need more powerful gear after clearing Heroic, until the next raid tier. The highest raid difficulty should be for the challenge, visuals and maybe exclusive mounts, pets and toys and such.
Due the to the fact that I am blind and addons to help my out are just developed in the last 3 years, I never played original cata. But i heared so much "worst expansion of the world" and "best expansion ever" that i am super hyped to know how it will really be for me. Hope there won't to much bosses that have blind unfriendly mechanics like vesax or sindragosa. Aaaaaaaand you didn't get punished for being more successful in 10 person raids than in 25. The easy loot from 25 killed the loot progression and motivation to fight throughout 10 person stuff, while we ever in wotlk was more successful there. Now we can just have our 10 person group, skip all the guild drama around 25 persons and get all the fancy stuff like everyone else.
A question towards your video production..may I ask if your editing breathing out? Or have you learned to speak at this pace and intonation over time? Thanks

No more Hpala/Rshaman/Dpriest/Rdruid spamming a single button without caring about mana. I’m soooo looking forward to heal in Cata once again.
Plan to cover this at some point for sure, really enjoyed the bigger hp pools / mana mattering more thing they did back then
@@WillEmmo Self sustain was very important in helping healers too
warriors iirc were pretty much Unkillable in some fights
That and you get patch 85.0 where everyone has been buffed 50 times
@@fdajax5107 and recouperation for rogues too
Damn, I remember just how BRUTAL Heroic dungeons were at the launch of Cata, and ZA and ZG were no joke either, especially Jin’do in ZG. Good times.
Oh boy titan rune cata dungeons lmao
I rolled mage at cata launch to aoe, but ended up sheeping most of time :)
its sad they nerfed them so hard, it was to hard for many
i think it was the cat boss that was the real pug killer in those days, and zanzil
Heroic dungeons were not that hard at Cata launch.
The main problem was that a lot of random groups failed the damage checks.
A fireball with 9% base mana cost was also super expensive. Dropping damage output further.
I remember taming EVERY rare beast in Cataclysm on my hunter when i was 12... good old times.
Cata Hype! Let’s go ! Thanks for the video. The guild cannot wait to sink our teeth into fun raids again.
It’s been a good run, enjoy cata fellas
we certainly will!
The first time I really felt challenged in dungeons. I really dug in and learned how to be a really good tank! Love cata so much!!
oh one thing you forgot, cata also introduces craftable pvp gear. can craft (or buy on ah) a full set of blue lvl 85 pvp gear at start of cata, and with each new pvp season a higher item lvl set of blue pvp gear is craftable.
1:36 that giant in the back must have a fire spider on its foot.
people forget the power jump from 80 - 85 is huge, every level was significant, as this was the expansion we got the great increases to hp pool if i remember correctly its like going from 20-100k for a dps and 40-150k for tanks
I remember Blizzard themself saying that they did this to promote their new "triage healing" philosophy and to make PvP less bursty.
just checked, our hunter had 150k HP on our sinestra first kill which should have been around 360-365 ilvl at the time.
First tier cataclysm was peak gaming for me, very underrated. I had so much fun!!! Can't wait!
Gonna try hopping into wrath on a mage to level for cata, started in pandaria so i never got to see any of the older stuff. hopefully i can muddle my way through
Can’t wait for a new classic version that isn’t Cata or any other expansions forward. 😢
So this is where player counts fall off a cliff even harder for classic.
looking forward to the pvp
its so fun
Not gonna lie pvp was fun here rated bgs and such guild achievements etc.
Cata was the first expansion I really started raiding hardcore in. Has some of my favorite raids. Can’t wait to get back in it.
The thing that I hated about cata heroic raiding was the on the fly difficulty swap (just like icc).
It made it so that progression was just "wipe on this boss 15x, then swap to normal, faceroll it and move on"
I loved the thrill of defeating a new boss and finally getting to see what was beyond it.
Hi Will!
I'm really looking forward to Cata.
Are they adding dungeon finder?
As someone who was a mad casual back in original Cata I am really looking forward to the raids.
I know I’m weird, but Cata was the most fun I ever had doing dungeons and raiding.
That was when WoW peaked for me.
I was in a heroic progression guild in cata on Illidan so I'm looking forward to doing it again
Can you use your insider knowledge to contact Aggrend and tell him servers need to be made into clusters like ERA for Cataclysm?
I will be playing. When does cata actually start?
~ 60 days
Beta around April, launch around June is my guess
Thanks
@@WillEmmo This didn't age well. Haha beta came out the day after you posted this xD
Looking forward to experience the WHOLE Cataclysm expansion. It was so good!!
I join blizz during Mid Cata, before that only had played in Private servers and it was an amazing experience for me.
oh yeah people give cata and MoP too much shit, they were actually the fun kind of challenging, and when you didn't outright need addons to tell what was happening
WoD though...it was the expansion that turned me off, mainly because I was a shaman main and uhhh
shaman was put into the ground that expansion
legion wasn't much better about it, and honestly leveling that expansion was boring as shit as I didn't feel like I was getting stronger
early cata is probably the only time in the game i can remember people struggling with heroic dungeons and healers going oom easily
never got to play cata, really looking forward to the Shattering!
Looking forward to trying this as it's one of the expansions I didn't play
So if we make it all the way to Legion Classic... will they bring back Mage Tower rewards?
If they tweak the AP grind and fix the drop of the Legendaries i think it may make Legion perfect !
Although i would suggest giving the Catalyst to get a Tier set piece, because i played SV Hunter and the Tier set was kinda making the class have a more than decent dps and i knew i wouldn't be admitted to raids (pugs)to get it. I was so discouraged... i remember quitting after 1 year when the new raid released.
if they go beyond MOP, the game will officially have zero integrity
@@pigslamYou can just choose to not play later Classic releases. You don't have to insult people who are looking forward to it.
I would love to see an updated ranking of your favorite and least favorite classic raiding, now that WotLK Classic is concluding.
Rather have a hc burning crusade
Even in their nerfed states, I am excited for twilight heroics.
i love that there wil be relevant 5-mans in catta, it was the best part to me
Solo. Mood tanking was tons of fun in cata. Might be the thing that brings me back lol
Here we go again where everyone is excited than quits and complains after a month. I said the same thing with BC and WOTLK, doesn’t hit the same anymore lmao
Playing a prot pally in cata for a top guild in 10 mans was amazing. Being both a tank and off healer was needed!
I wish they'd hurry up and do the EverQuest thing with TLP servers. Get those vanilla to wrath servers going for those of us that enjoy the original trilogy. And like those EQ TLP servers, most will stop playing at cata similar to when the planes of power expansion drops.
I'm looking forward to revisiting the time I started playing WoW! Cata is gonna be awesome
I’m honestly hoping they re release WOD and implement all the features they wanted to originally add or make it something like SOD, I loved WOD 😅
How about defiler’s scourgestone? I should spend them all before cata?
I see that viewpoint, but it's sort of subjective for me. I consider cata Classic. MoP was the end of classic for me.
The raiding changes make sense. I quit wrath because I didn’t want to do the 10 man and also the 25 man. It was a joke for someone who was only interested in PvP.
I hope Blizzard buffs Cata dungeons so they feel difficult like they were at Cata launch. Cata dungeons at launch were peak dungeon content for me.
I never played catha because i played other games when it released. Im def gonna check it out. To me it looks really cool
Will season of discovery go through BC, etc restarting the whole thing?
Hi @WillE, thank you for your Video. Do you think there is a chance that blizzard change 10 men raiding, so we have to do 25men raiding to do the hardest content? Thank you for ur answer!
will heirlooms be usable 80>85? i played cata but cant remember
Think you need to spend justice points to upgrade heirlooms from 80to 85
First time playing cata and I’m keen
Progress kills counts as first kill for a guild on WCL, not total kills logged overall - there have been over 26k Lich King HC25 kills in the past 2 weeks.
classic.warcraftlogs.com/zone/statistics/1020#boss=856&metric=fightwipes
Theres way way more people doing harder content now 100%
@@WillEmmoThanks for clarifying the discrepancy. There's one thing that still puzzles me given what you just said in your reply, and that is "Progress kills counts as first kill for a guild on WCL"
Do you happen to know how many users must be from the guild for it to count and if this is consistent with the old methodology?
Definitely excited for some Cata!
"With good CC..."
Modern players: What's CC precious? Can you eat it?
I know Dragonsoul was the first LFR raid but do you think the other raids will become LFR as well?
There is a very small chance they even add LFR m8. No one wants it
I don't hate Cata but it was where I started to care less for Wow. I know a lot of people share this opinion. One thing I am grateful for this for is the fact that once WoTLK turns into Cata, real Classic will be much more populated.
I will still focus more on Classic, but I'll probably have at least one toon play through Cata.
Does this video cover new things in Cata Classic, or just changes from the original Wrath to Cata?
Their 5 man dungeons in Cata were just fun imo.
Cant wait for cata, i stoped playin after wotlk at vanila times, i liked Cata but got so burned out after 4 years of wow.
Halfus Pugbreaker felt so challenging on 10 man back in the day
heroic in cata is equivelant to mythic, in mop they added mythic for SoO iirc. the following xpack was normal was like easy mode, heroic was like normal, and mythic was like heroic, for the content its the mythic equivelant
SoO had the shortlived "Flex" mode, I wonder if they'll do it again for classic MoP.
Im kinda excited about cata, raiding was challenging and fun, dungeons are good and i hope they dont do mega nerfs to hc dungeons
Do we really need the titan rune dungeons? We got ZG ZA as catchup and the hour of twilight catchup dungeons before dragon soul patch. The raids will be completely useless if titan runes get released, unless the titan runes gives “raidfinder quality” items
The gearing in cata is already easy and good for alts, we don’t really need another thing that does the same shit
why do i have a feeling world first will be just bunch of Arcane Mages stacked up with few classes to fillup magic debuffs?
So for example Tier11(4.0):
Normal Dungeons = ilvl 333(or even lower since some of them are (80-84)leveling dungeons that drop as low as 272ilvl)
Adventure/Easy Raid = ilvl 339
Heroic Dungeons = ilvl 346
Normal Raid = ilvl 359
Heroic Raid = ilvl 372.
The highest raid difficulty should be for the challenge, visuals and maybe exclusive mounts, pets and toys and such.
speed to 1.25 to get normal talk speed
Cata is the only xpac aside from the new one I haven’t played might actually give it a go
Due the to the fact that I am blind and addons to help my out are just developed in the last 3 years, I never played original cata.
I started WoW with Cata xD so I'm really keen for Cata xD... Cata hype! Cata hype! XD
I liked Cata, looking forward to the return
wishing they skipped this one for MoP or just halted at Wrath. That was the end of the "classic" era in my mind anyway
hope its gonnna be a good time!
pvp is also really good, i can't wait, CATA HYPE !
A question towards your video production..may I ask if your editing breathing out? Or have you learned to speak at this pace and intonation over time? Thanks
with how Sods going im looking forward to Cata, sod is boring.
Wrath and BC was fun for first month than it died same with cata lmao we say this every time
ok well thats a month of fun then lol. Sod will be fun for a week with new phase if that.@@toraso842
