First thing, R1 is a derivative of V3. And R1 is nothing spectacular either compared to chatgpt. That is what the research article published by deepseek themselves say. Compute and dollars spent on V3 is not accounted. Stock market fell because nvidia stock price increased due to higher demand created by spending of big tech due to fear of losing opportunity. That has definetely put in question by Deepseeks use of H800. Stocks fell, but the fall was instantaneous and not continous.
