C major actually is hard because you have basically nothing to base your hand positioning off of, if that makes sense. In other keys, you know where to hit because of the black keys, and because those are distinguishable, but c major has none of that.

Yes, I'd argue C major scale is the easiest looking scale to play, but the hardest scale to actually play.
