Better than*...the word "than" compares one object to another, whereas the word "then" is a reference to a particular time. English is your friend, sir. Go Steelers!
I've always thought the Browns uniforms looked clean af and also had that 'classic' look that only a few franchises have. The fact that they went away from it for a "modernized" look was so disappointing.
Aside from the awesomeness that was Josh Cribbs, 7:22 is how I remember this game: Derek Anderson badly missing open receivers in the 2nd half. This was the game in which defensive coordinators figured-out "DA"- take away his deep routes and he'd struggle badly with the underneath stuff because he was so inaccurate. A one year wonder.
The Browns were pretty competitive this year. Pittsburgh had it's moments too. Who could forgot the legendary year James Harrison had, and Joe Thomas walked in the NFL and became the best LT in football for the next decade. Oh and Josh' Cribbs was a record breaker
Great upload. Always been curious about this game since I heard Ben Roethlisberger ran 30 yards. This is the season before I became a Steelers fan. As a Pittsburgh native, this makes me feel a little better after today.
Man ppl need to respect the afc north. So many good nail biting games between Steelers &the rest of the teams. Good ravens games all the time that come down to the wire a lot of browns games & bengal games to. So many good games from the 2000s going on a binge watch tonight lol. Let’s hope Ben can get 7 and go out on top!!! Here we go!
The 07 Browns were a fun team to watch even for us non-Browns fans. They didn't have a bunch of superstars but they had a bunch of guys who were tough, smart and could play ball. 10-6 could get you wildcard most years but not when there's a 16-0 team in the conference.
AFC was stacked that year. AFC was just stacked in the 2000s in general. Perennial New England, Indianapolis, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Denver, New York jets, Tennessee, Baltimore contenders almost every single year.
ah.. the last season we had a winning record... anyone want to know what's depressing? I'm 20 years old. I was born in 1998. I was born in canton Ohio, so of course I absolutely loved football as soon as I discovered it. I have been a browns fan just as long.. in my 20 years of being alive.. I have seen 2 winning seasons, and 1 playoff spot(which I was what? maybe 5 for?) and somehow.. I still love them. through all of the heartbreak, through all 20 something quarterbacks.. however many coaches.. I still love this team.. it makes me so sad to think and realize that I have only actually gotten to witness a single winning season in my entire life..
Isaiah Jones Steelers fans who like baseball can relate. I was born in April 1993, which was the beginning of 20 consecutive losing seasons for the Pirates. I didn't see a winning season or a playoff series until I was 20 years old. Technically, I have seen 4 winning seasons and 1 playoff series in 18 years of being a fan, which just barely trumps your 2 winning seasons and 1 playoff game lol. Being a fan can be extremely difficult lol.
Know what the best part of this is for me? It's the fact that Cleveland has a chance to be truly good again. They kept all the talent from last year and hired a competent head coach. I wouldn't be that suprised if the browns make the playoffs this season. But I'd be very suprised if they were in contention for the AFC North, though.
Wow!! What a game. Big Ben with so, so many clutch 3rd down conversions. The 3rd & 9 late in the 4th in the red zone is just unreal. How many guys juke the MLB like that and pick up the first in the cold mud? When you need it. And the play of the game might’ve been Troy’s tackle at the end. One more yard and that FG is good. Wow. What. A. Game.
What the heck is McFadden (#20) doing at 9:35? He just escorted Cribbs into the end zone! He could have tried knifing in at the last second for the tackle, but he just ran along with the convoy the whole way. What was he thinking!?
I remember this game vividly as it was the first game the Steelers played after my baby brother was, my mom sat there holding a new born while we were all going crazy about each play
Joshua Cribbs was easily the Brown's best player since their return. He killed the Steelers in nearly every game they played. Yes, the Browns actually won 10 games in 2007, but didn't make the playoffs in typical Browns luck fashion. The AFC was crowded that year.
If even a single Miami touchdown is scored in that atrocious Pittsburgh-Miami game? That gets Cleveland a home playoff game. The Steelers can thank Cam Cameron for being an awful coach XD
'07 Browns blew that season! They should've beaten the losing Bengals on week 16 and they dropped the ball. Thankfully they are not that bad this year.
This was during that short blip of time where the Nu Browns were interesting and competitive. I really believe in Baker Mayfield these days so I hope to see them turn it around within a season or two. BTW everyone raves about FOX but CBS's HD package from the early HD era (and presumably now) is REALLY nice compared to FOX which sometimes looks a bit inferior. I can't quite put my finger on what it is though. CBS seems very smooth compared to their competition.
yeah baker mayfield will make sure it won't end in a tie which im sure you can agree with (not saying the browns have a 100% chance to win, but they definitely have a team to beat pittsburgh)
If the browns would’ve kept coach Romeo, they would’ve had a few good teams. Shame lol. Also, I got so used to Pittsburgh having such a good Offensive line that I forgot that Ben used to have to run for his life 😂😂😂
Ben Roethlisberger was probably very surprised by that run he made for a touchdown, seeing as how he is not a speedster and was probably wondering if any Browns were going to tackle him.
I'd like to take a poll of Browns fans to see if they wish the team had picked Roethlisberger (the hometown boy) instead of Kellen Winslow Jr in the 2004. I mean, they didn't really have a franchise QB then, the Tim Couch experiment had ended, they had I think Kelly Holcomb and an old Jeff Garcia. Kind of the way Steelers nation wishes we'd taken Dan Marino (the hometown boy) in 1983 instead of Gabe Rivera.

Braylon Edward's monster year too
I guess 2007 is the old 2020 because boy is it awfully strange to hear Nantz and Simms calling a Browns game 🤣

That kick at the end was crazy it looked as it'd go in perfectly and just stopped!

True. Defenseless receiver
It was flagged on that play too 😂

Josh Cribbs very underrated for his skill set,QB,RB,WR,KR dude was a real Swiss Army knife

I'm just curious why is it that a good majority of Steelers end up with the Jets. Neil O'Donnell Santonio Holmes & L'Veon Bell.
A lot of Steelers go to the Cardinals as well both players and two of the Steelers old offensive coordinators Ken Whisenhunt and Bruce Arians.
When it comes to the jets it’s because of money. When it comes to the cardinals it’s because they’re irrelevant.
Alan Faneca also went to the Jets
