Hey, can you tell a little bit about the experience with the windshield. Is it high enough for you. I am basically as tall as you but i am a little bit worried that the helmet will be directly in the wind stream (if the airflow works as expected you're head should be - in principle - outside of the windstream).

So, my experience:
Not really good, was honestly confused. I so several review from also tall people but that glass worked not that good as I expected. I'm 6'3". I the highest position it still hits me in the top of my helmet and it cause fatigue and really bother. Lower, still bother but not that much. Another thing strong side buffering and in neck and shoulders area.
and finally all the way down it's not cause fatigue but basically the same as an native OAM one.
Eventually I returned it and bought MADSTAD, the longest, I guess. Looks not fancy and cool, for sure, but way better! Has also things that bother me but better)

I have a 2015 VSTROM 650XT.
I have cycled through four different windshield.
OEM XT, non-XT, CEE BAILEY, givi and one other. I have 30k Miles from highway riding. My upper body it seat to helmet top the size of someone 6’1-6’4 (very short legs and tall upper body at 5’10).
Very tall windscreens, even when well shaped will cause buffeting depending on cross wind and air density. Unless You add vortex generators all along the edge from 9 o’clock to 3 o’clock position, you cannot escape it unless you duck down and a hunch over.
Stock mirrors or height over grip will create and initiate buffeting too.
Speaking to world, professional ADV riders who have been doing this for 50 years. They recommend a tiny windshield that only blocks air from your upper chest, down. Or a windscreen like the GIVI, which creates a laminar flow of air with a stacked windshield setup (like this GIVI) but the depending on the motorcycle, air density and cross wind, it’s not a perfect solution.
I currently use a CEE BAILEY who makes aircraft glazing, they no longer make motorcycle windshield, unfortunately. But it is the only windshield that’s provided smooth air. And trust me you won’t even find this windshield used for a Avrom anymore. I’ve been looking for years for a back up.
It sweeps back smoothly, and I leaned it back, even further to nearly a 45° angle. The wind hits the middle of my face shield stabilizing my helmet.
I also removed the stock mirrors replacing them with bar end mirrors.
This has solved 95% of all my wind problems.
I will be purchasing this Givi but I feel that it will work well when adjusting it back to lean further backward to smooth the air and if YOU remove the upright mirrors. I FEEL THOSE MIRRORS CAUSED SO MUCH PHANTOM AIR BUFFETING DURING VERY LONG RIDES!
In frustration, I removed them once and was absolutely shocked . They haven’t been back on the bike in three years.

Hello,how many cm are between normal glass at the highest level?
Yasin Çiğ hi, I can’t measure right now cause after several rides and trying different positions I found out that unfortunately this glass doesn’t fit me. I’m 196cm high and even on the highest level of glass I have very annoying, maybe even terrible weird vibrations. Wind bows directly in the top of my helmet and the best position is kind of close to the original windshield. I need something to protect me from wind in a long distance riding and winter and I returned it and ordered another one from Madstad, worried that it’s from organic glass but don’t want to waste time with others.
Honestly not satisfied with Givi 3101, shot video but didn’t edit yet review. It makes a lot of wind movements around your body, hit in shoulders, maybe good for summer and shorter riders.

У меня 196 см, могу сказать что в максимально верхнем положении чуть ниже подбородка. В нижнем не скажу, я его уже вернул, мне не очень понравилось стекло.
Почему вернули обратно стекло?
Не понравилось, я брал чтобы на дальняк нормально ездить или хотя бы 2-3 часа нормально. С моим ростом очень неприятная вибрация на максимальной высоте. Ветер прям в верхушку шлема бьет и голова кружиться начинает. Начинаю ниже опускать, просто в шлем ветер и шум. Не особо лучше оригинального. И с боков в корпус и шею сильно дуло, летом хорошо, но я и сейчас езжу, зимой иногда. Может быть еще поигрался бы сейчас с положением, симпатичное стекло, материал не хрупкий, но сразу на эмоциях вернул. Взял Madstad, регулируемое, но и там свои нюансы, хотя вибрация почти не напрягает.
Тут видимо сам мотоцикл, рост и положение водителя играют роль
@@showmeamericadude1416 у меня 188 рост. Читаю ветку на stormtrooper. Madstad там ставят люди. У меня сейчас очень высокое самодельное стекло. Удара в голову после 120 км в час. Вот думаю какое брать или ниже сделать самому. На эирфлоу за счёт двух стекл разряжение воздуха происходит и поток за верхним стеклом уходит вверх.
@@DrKonstantin Я не знаю где вы территориально и как с возвратом. Airflow можно вернуть если аккуратно попробовать, Madstad начинают restocking fee за доставку тоже по моему требуют, на сайте можно уточнить.
Тут конечно лучше всего попробовать, я тоже про Airflow хорошие отзывы видел.
