Traditional Chinese Fish Lantern DIY Project - 金魚燈籠紮作 DIY - 中秋節,自己動手做燈籠

Materials: metal wire, colourful fabric, white glue, 紥作砂紙 (masking tape), hot glue gun, wiggle googly eyes, tassel, golden paper, golden beads, etc.
Use the metal wire to shape the frame of the lantern instead of using the traditional bamboo sticks. It's easier to use and much more manageable.
We use the special white paper (紥作砂紙/masking tape) to wrap around the metal wire, which allows the colourful fabric to stick easier.

The masking tape/紥作砂紙 is found in some stationary stores in Asia.
The masking tape/紥作砂紙 is optional.
If you do not have the masking tape/紥作砂紙, then you can skip the wrapping of the metal frame.
Use the masking tape/紥作砂紙 or a thin wire to connect the ends (the joints) of the metal wire.

Instead of candle, bought the led light key ring from dollar store. Put in side the lanterns and it is much safer for kids.
