- BENQ e-Reading lamp review- what is so special about it and is it worth the big price tag??
Hi Guys!
Welcome back to my channel! In today's video I am reviewing something a bit different- an e-Reading lamp from BENQ. The people at BENQ kindly reached out to me at the end of last year and offered to send me one of their lamps in return for an honest review so here it is!
I know this isn't an art supply but since I am always on the lookout for ways to improve the quality of my videos, I agreed. Getting the right lighting for my videos has always been difficult as my room- and the British weather- are often quite dull so hopefully this will help!

This is a lovely lamp!! That's something I'm missing in my own art set up. And it lighting makes a huge difference!! That is a very pricey lamp, however, for someone who does art for fun.
HI Jen! I am loving this lamp and good lighting is super important whether you are doing art for fun or professionally, but there are definitely cheaper options!. so have a good look around and maybe see what others suggest before you spend out 😊

This is not the first time I have seen this lamp in the video. I did enjoy your review and I look forward to your new video content being well lighted! I think that this lamp is out of my price range. I did buy a daylight lamp that does not do all of the settings and things like that, just off and on, but it was only $30 and gives me enough light to work on paintings, drawings or even puzzles. Thank you for taking the time to make this video I’m glad you got a lamp out of it! Please feel free to evaluate any “art supplies” it is appreciated, thank you!
Thank you! I agree, it is expensive. I have tried all sorts of lighting set ups and come to the conclusion that it could be my camera that needs replacing rather than issues with lights but that will have to wait for now as cameras are even more expensive! Take care 😊
A cheap LED desk lamp will reduce amount of colours you will see due to poor CRI (Color rendering index), that should be important if you do painting or any other artistic / colour sensitive work.

Love the design and functionality, but the prices is prohibitive.
I agree Christina. It is a great lamp but I would not be able to afford it personally 😊
The lamp in nice and seems to work well, but for that price it's missing a lot of features.

I think the lamp takes up far too much valuable real estate on your desk and the controls seem a little more complicated that necessary. I have a wonderful, very flexible lamp which clamps onto my desk (takes up little space) and lights up the entire area with various temperature and brightness settings at the touch of a finger. If I shut it off and turn it back on, it remembers my previous setting. And, my lamp is less than 1/3 the cost of the BENQ. So....you can get good value for much less.

A nice lamp, but highly overpriced. One can easily find a similar one at a lower pricepoint.

Good luck finding a cheaper lamp with 95 CRI colour performance and this build quality.
