As a Jags fan from STL (even when we had the Rams) I appreciate the guy with the STL Blues avatar enjoying Trevor Lawrence content. Go Jags, Blues, and Cards man,!
Thank you for questioning our play calls, I swear our offense is so static with how the plays are designed. I have no clue why we don’t use Ridley like how other teams use their starts like Miami with lining him up in the slot and utilizing more motion. Great Vid!
That’s my QB 🙌🏽 feels great to be a jags fan right now, not many years we get to see a positive record next to our name , I like us to make it a 5 game win streak but the 9ers will be tough
JT should be "mandatory post game coverage" (he is in my book 😅)... at least he breaks down the 'hidden gems' content and he doesn't "pander to the numbers" and only analyze the most viewed players.
Thank for making videos about TLaw. He's going to be a strong QB. We all can see how much he growing in every next games. It's so attract me that just because a young pursue the success. On the road of the goal, he is my emotional support.
Glad to see you sharing the same sentiment about Agnew as many fans. He's a great returner and gadget guy but I really don't get why he is used as a full-blown receiver with Zay Jones out. He got 6 targets in this game and he got 5 targets in the bad loss to the Texans. At most he should get some short routes or be used on sweeps or pitches. He shouldn't be expected to fight off a defender to make a catch or lose a CB with his route running.
Even though he wasn't hit or sacked once in this game, the trauma/hits from previous games is still in his head. Causing him to speed up everything as you said!
JT...so glad I came across your channel. Great to see your breakdowns of the play calls considering this has been an issue in spots since week 1. Actually makes Trevor look even better IMO considering play design and lack of creativity at times.
JT good analysis as always. Taking about the speed Trevor was playing, from all of the comments earlier in the week, that was Doug's plan for Trevor because he was gimpy. They didn't want him to take a big hit. So, I think the game plan was for Trevor to get the ball out of his hand or run on a fast clock, which he did.
Has more to do wirh playcalling than Trevor. Ridley is our down the field threat and press Taylor doesnt know you are allowed to throw it past the yellow line.
They need to move him around a little bit. Guys like Adams, Jefferson, Diggs don't only line up outside the numbers and Ridley has been. He's always running the same 3 or 4 routes. Also if Ridley is running the route instead of agnew on that pick that ball is probably caught.
Great video as always my friend. In Trevor's defense I think he's rushing his reads or only doing 1 read is because of how bad our interior o-line has played. They did have a great game Thursday but with Trevor being banged up he wasn't willing to put himself at risk...
I watched this without sound first and was really surprised by how the WRs and TEs rounded their routes and took forever to get out of breaks. Was I the only one who noticed this? Trevor Lawrence has strong arm so he doesn't need a ton of separation for a completion but his receivers really don't give him a chance.
That's true, but Trevor is one the quickest at getting the ball out in the league only behind Tua. So part of the reason his Pressures are so low is because of that
Love how he points out on a couple plays saying, "what is this play call....??" Yeah... that's exactly how I feel on a lot of Press Taylor's play calls. I don't know what this promise that Doug Pederson sees in this offensive coordinator, but so far he's been bad. He plays conservatively WAY too much, and some of his play calls are just like, wtf is that..... I seriously think Press Taylor needs to be told to re-evaluate himself on the plays he's writing up and calling, or he just needs to be fired, because our offense looked infinitely better than this last season when it was called by Pederson.
I still feel like Trevor is sped up from not trusting in the line to hold, it had a solid game this week but man, it can be so damn bad, need a better playcaller and just get Trevor feelin better about the line
Awesome analysis. Wondering if you had an idea why they aren’t throwing downfield more? You’d think with arm talent like his they’d unleash it more. Is it o-line, lack of trust in him, lack of trust in the WRs?
Trevor got injured at the end of the last game against the colts, him playing this game was pretty much a game time decision so the gameplan was getting the ball out quickly and not taking any unneeded risks to protect the QB
@@Dadalorian23 in general its down to bad play calling from press Taylor, I do think the jags aren't spreading the field enough and its fully down to him, it is infuriating at times
I dont get how the team just leaves what works halfway through the game and we wonder why the offense looks anemic for a quarter and a half💀 shit drives me nuts playcalling needs to do better
I've never seen an OC so obsessed with trying to use his 5th best weapon in Agnew. The play package designed for him it's so obvious he's getting the ball.
JT, what happened to Ridley in this game/most the season? Flashes of greatness then absolutely disappears. Is it game script? Or does it seem like Ridley hasn’t bought in like Kirk and zay did last year and into this year?
Trevor’s mental clock has been sped up because of the bad o-line play to start the year. He feels he needs to get it out quick. That is why he doesn’t scan the entire field a lot of the times. Just my opinion though. Once the o-line gets better, then he will gain that confidence back in them and he start going through his progressions. You’re the expert, so what say you?
@@Jacob.Ponce01 you don’t say? I’m speaking about the rest of the season. I don’t know if you are aware, but the o-line has been absolutely atrocious to start the season and Trevor has been getting killed.
@@Jacob.Ponce01 that’s your response? I’ve done my research as well as watching every game. Don’t cry about injuries. They are part of the game. Have a good one, kid.
Good to hear that you recognize that Trevor doesn't get through his reads. I was hoping he would be better in that area at this stage but he isn't. I hope he can improve, but forty games into his career, that isn't a very good sign.
Thank you for covering Trevor! I know it doesn't get you the views like big markets but we appreciate you!
