Profiling mp4, trying to figure out why encoders are so slow

We want to be able to stream in a higher quality, but software and hardware encoders are slow. So we look into maybe if there's something we can do about it.

the three and four byte start codes are probably used to ensure 2 byte alignment. That would explain why the first start code is always four bytes.
