- I am not gonna lie, winter in Florida is pretty great! But it's not all roses. In this video, I show you what florida winters are like in real life, showcasing the good, the bad and lots of beach! I mean what better way to show off winter in florida than on the beach.
I've been living in Miami Beach now for 12 years in January, and winter here has always been my favorite time of year to be here. The weather to me, is the pretty much the best weather you can get in the U.S. this time of year. But there are some days that are less than stellar. But, compared to the freezing northern Illinois winters that I lived through for 20 years of my life, I'll take what Florida has to offer ;)
If you are new to my channel or my videos, be sure to check out my playlist all about moving to Florida here: • EVERYTHING You Need to...

"you guys have been diging the florida videos". You got that right! I love your channel.
Thank you very much Rob. Glad to hear you are enjoying it😊
After 39 years of snow I’m loving it in Florida. I’m one of those people who will be perfectly fine if I never see snow again. Three winters of living in Florida so far and I’ll take an 80° Christmas Day every year from now on.
I know the feeling!
LOL
I love these old videos.
Much happier vids
Come on man; most Winter days in Florida are gorgeous. I've been through 18 of them in Miami Beach. Sure we can have a cool snap for a few days once or twice a year, but those are just opportunities to air out your condo.
Oh I love the cool winter days! If you though otherwise, it is a misunderstanding. I wish the weather here was like the winter days all year. Winter is my favorite time of year in MB👍
Your 'disclaimer' at the beginning had me dying lololol
Awesome vid, still beautiful even when it's raining, I would take it over 35 degrees any day!
Had to point that out lol, just so everyone didn't think I was letting myself go 😂I agree, will still take that over 35 and snow!
miami is a paradise i swear
It definitely can be, especially this time of year👌
@@MichaelBordenaro i live in north africa and it's cold as hell i wish i could swim at this month
@@RamonTheRapper2022 No kidding, I didn't know it got cold in Africa!
@@MichaelBordenaro the north is cold meanwhile the south is so hot
@@RamonTheRapper2022 I had no idea

Thanks Virendra!
it's 34 degrees here in Ohio. I'll take cloudy. I'll take Florida gloom any time.
That logic is what has kept me here for 13 years 👌
I think it would be cool to deconstruct neighborhoods one by one just so an average viewer would see the advantages and disadvantages of living in particular areas. I recall seeing something similar in the channel but a more detailed breakdown will be great.
Yes I agree, I have been working on something like that for Miami. Any other areas of interest?
@@MichaelBordenaro Fort Lauderdale, if possible
@@CrazyyShittz Thank you for the request! 😊
Love those shades Michael! Keep the videos coming!❤️❤️😊😊
The way florida got the name. The Sunshine state was because there was one year that it was sunny for almost the entire year. This was done in St Petersburg. It doesn’t mean it’s sunny all year around but for the most part you see sun. Even on rainy days the sun will come out one way or another. We have a very bipolar weather, no offense to bipolars. We get an afternoon thunder storm and 15 minutes later is like nothing happened. Same on hurricane season.
Its 0° here in Missouri right now. CA is too expensive and jacked up so I have a double wide going up in St Augustine and never looking back!
Nice! It’ll be a good feeling once your place is ready and you make that move👌
Winter really is the best time of year to be in Florida. We go to Naples every Christmas. Dont forget the worst weather is actually hurricane season and its too hot!
Yep for sure!
When you’ve lived in New York Maryland and North Carolina to me the worst weather I’m gonna get Living in Florida is early spring 😂
Thanks very much for this perspective! Much Appreciated!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks like you are living at 350 Ocean ave. I stayed there a few times in 1996-97
Envy we are still in Indiana ugh cold grey winters but heading to Bradenton soon
As long as you make it before winter or during, you're good 😄
1 More day I'll be living in paradise too!
Nice!
Cool 😎 shades!
Hey thanks! I used to have them for sale but now they’re discontinued I guess. Check out the description in my latest video, I have a link to the same website I use and they have plenty of other cool options👌
4:24 Cracked me up hearing the Bay Watch music...... LOLOL....Great idea!
haha thank you 😆
great videos, Maybe you could make a lifestyle video traveling through coral gables, show us some of you favorite restaurants and places to go do things for fun. Maybe check out down town and brickell. Show us what you like to do on a typical day. show us a day of running errands around the city. show us some exotic cars. The channel is great man keep up the good work
Thank you Austin! All good ideas really. I wish I could make all of them and post 100 vids at once lol. Glad you're enjoying the channel😊
Please do a video on the villages.
I will probably have to go there and visit
Love it, thanks
Given that your audience includes people outside the USA, do consider mentioning temperatures in °C and °F side by side ... ditto for distances and speed limits in kilometres & miles 😃
I'll try to keep it in mind, but being in the USA it is hard to remember that lol since nothing here is in those measurements
Nice very nice
Could you do a video about the people? For instance what are they like on the east vs. west. north vs. south. Are they friendly?
Yeah I have been thinking about doing a video like that, a similar idea is on my list, thanks for the suggestion!
I'm sorry did you say this was JANUARY??? Wow!!!
Christmas in a warmer climate?
It certainly doesn't "look" or "feel" like Christmas being from the north. But its all about who you spend it with more than what it looks like outside😊
How about a video of the safest areas to stay at while visiting WPB. Best place for tourists to stay for the most activities, without a rental car.
Idea for a video: Maybe you could make a short video on what you do before leaving your condo for a vacation......Of course, turn the water off but what about leaving the a/c on......???
Thats not a bad idea! When I'll put it on my list for when I get back home!
Great video!
You asked for suggestions for video topics. OK, I have one... 3 Local "Insider" Things About Miami Beach That Will Surprise You. (I write novels set in Miami Beach but I don't live there... yet... and I try to put as many local-isms into my books as I can dig up. Maybe you know one or three that I could mention in my next book... something that another Miamian would say "Yep, that's Miami!" about.) Thanks!!!
Thanks John, I like that idea! I'll put it on my list and think about what those things are 👌
It’s winter for me :D
Winter is my favorite too
Good content subbed 💯
Appreciate it😀
The only problem is no mountains
73 is perfect my ideal weather is 74 no lower than 60 no higher than 79 even Hawaii is mid 80s in the summers is too warm for me. San Diego and Newport Beach are great in winter but Monterey California is top 3 for July and August. California has the sunsets but colder water. Gulf coast Florida has the sunsets but no surfing
Oh yeah, that is perfect weather. Once it gets into uppers 80's thats already too hot if you ask me. Then factor in the humidity and even higher temps...😅Montery is a beautiful area, one of my favorites. There certainly are pros and cons to all these places. Best bet, keep moving around for the seasons and best conditions
It snows in parts of L.A. county
Yes it does in the mountainous areas. So cool actually
@@MichaelBordenaro sure is, I got family over there who tell me it snows where they live.
@@dylanrunner2001 Awesome, you should visit every chance you get!
Fucking freezing in New York 🥶
I remember the feeling well
I just visited Florida from Arizona. Arizona is the Sunshine State, not Florida. I bet you guys in FL never even get to see stars in the sky, as there's always a fine mist surrounding everything, and moisture blocking a starry sky view . It's Pleasant there, way better than any of the northern states, No Doubt, but it's not the Sunshine State. PS -
My hair went from bone straight to fusilli curls the whole time I was in Florida! LOL
Haha yes we do have a good amount of cloudy days here, but there are plenty of nights that are clear as well, especially in the winter. The biggest obstruction where I live is light pollution, not the clouds. But that frizzy hair is for real!! I made fun of that in a recent video 😄
@@MichaelBordenaro 😁😃😀🙂
what is the coldest temp in miami while day light ?
The lowest I ever remember during the day was probably five or six years ago it was in the low 50s daytime but that's pretty rare
Do you think you can make a video on Daytona beach/Port Orange area please?
Possibly in the future, not doing much traveling not due to virus, but looking forward to visiting many places in FL in the future👍
Michael Bordenaro sounds good! I am moving there in about 2 years and I am extremely excited. We have been there a few times and love it, but I want the actual perspective from a Floridian!
I would love to go on the beach in winter time, but I’ll have to wear a hat, don’t want my bald head to be sunburned, even during summer season.
How warm the water is in the winter? what temp range?
Typically in the low 70's in winter
can you talk about dating in florida?
That might be a rough one for me since I’m not single, but I might be able to come up with something. Any ideas in particular?
Oh yeah, so I was thinking maybe sharing experiences before single life? Like are there any funny stereotypes? Did you find fl people more outgoing than up north? Is there a particular age group or race you find more in fl? All those questions! haha thanks for responding :)
@@youtubinxx Yeah I actually like those ideas! Thanks for the suggestions. I'll see what I can do ;)
Michael Bordenaro oh boy oh boy 😄
Love your channel Michael. Yea warmer in Miami than Tampa in the winter. Although I remember an early February trip to South Beach. Weather changed and a storm came. Power was out in the hotel for a while. No heat. It was freezing cold all week and at night people wore knit hates and winter coats. That was really strange. I froze the whole week
How far from eden roc hotel are ya?
Not too far, just right up the street!
I lived in Florida my whole life, and im tired of it being hot. So I’ll go to New York (rent)
The heat does get old…
Um Miami is definitely usually hotter than 73 degrees each day in the winter unless there's a cold snap.
That is not true. I’m sitting on the balcony as I’m writing this and it’s 70° tomorrow will be only 68
Is the water warm in January
Or april
Because I’m going to go to Fort Lauderdale in April
Depends on what you're comparing it too. It feels a bit cold, but not too bad, you can still get in. California water temps much colder in the winter.
@@MichaelBordenaro compared to cape cod
@@MichaelBordenaro so as long as it feels warm I’m good
Someone told me that Tampa bay and the beach smell like warm garbage?
For a while it probably did because of the red tide. That lasted for a really long time, and smelled bad. Not sure if that is still going on though
@@MichaelBordenaro Doesn't the red tide glow?
@@happymouth9318 I don't know about glow, but it is a distinct red color
I just lived in Cabo for 7 years, perfect sunny days...day after day after day. Tired of the dumbasse 3rd world standards, on my way to florida
I think you'll love it here then!
Miami is expensive hot traffic
Jobs don’t pay as much
Beach bod 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha, glad you liked that 😆
Hmmm....hmmm...Daddy
