Kaito is the only character in all of danganronpa to not have a despair inducing death. Think about it. He got to go the moon like he always wanted and it was monokuma's plan to crash the rocket back on earth to induce despair upon kaito but he didn't expect kaito to die of his illness while looking up at the moon and the stars. In the end kaito won against monokuma even if kokichi's plan failed. Kaito had a hopeful death, a perfect death
Even if Kaito hadn’t died of his illness before the end of his execution, Kaito would have died hopeful because he would have accomplished his dream of going to space either way. The only ways his death would have been full of despair is if he died of his illness before reaching space, didn’t go to space at all, or both.

I really REALLY dislike kaito, like i hate him but now after like rethinking his character HE HAS A FANTASTIC design, being a miu and kokichi fan, it's hard to say this haha but he's a good person, and has nice aspirations, and he only killed kokichi to save maki, in which is kinda sappy because he did it for love and whatever, but think about it, kokichi died to save everyone and kaito helped him, and gave his place up knowing he's gonna die, just to try to save the others. Chapter 5 brought out THE MOST emotion for me, and actually made me cry, im a person who doesn't cry very often, and i played the game with a friend, and for us it was the most emotional experience in danganronpa, i now somewhat have like this admiration for kaito despite not liking him (does that make sense?) anyways ill stop ranting now
I really think whoever calls kaito stupid or dumb is wrong. He might not be an ahead-planner like kokichi, but he has an incredible amount of emotional and interpersonal intelligence, which makes him smarter than most characters in v3 cast. Kokichi and Kaito are like ying yang. Kokichi is a rational thinker, and kaito is guided by feelings but both are really good at that which makes them real inteligent. Calling Kaito stupid is just bullshit
And!!! Alot of people don't really realize that Kaito lies quite a lot aswell. He literally had to *forge* his papers to do the astronaut exam thing. I've also heard that there's a lot of lies in his FTEs, but I haven't done those yet so I won't comment. But he also lies about his illness because he thinks secrets are fine as long as there's no ill intent, and he doesn't have ill intent so it's okay to him.

I think we should use references for some guys who are named Kaito. Now, from the start, there's Kaito Domoto from "Mermaid Melody". His true lover is Mermaid Princess leader Lucia Nanami. In the middle of my perspective is Vocaloid Kaito whom some people like to refer as Kaito Shion. And Danganronpa has a punk-looking guy named Kaito Momota. Now, do you understand the references?

A part of me died at the Kokichi part. It still hurts after all this time and it will never get better. But this entire song had feels. I didn't particularly like Kaito most of the game but after chapter 5 I grew to really like him. I personally believe that he didn't just agree with Kokichi to save Maki and that he did it to end the game and because he believed Kokichi.
Heart Of The Fox I’m like, a year late but yes! He never actually hated Kokichi and wanted him to die, he wanted to understand kokichi. In the Japanese version, when Kokichi asks Kaito about taking the arrow wound for him, Kaito says ‘I’m not your enemy’

That flatline part was so sad but so amazing and the fact that you took someone like Kaito who had so much Bipolar development. From being a bro. To punching Shuichi, to being Bullied by Miu, to being Maki's closest ally, and then the chapter 5 blackened. And literally turned such a charater into a song that actually perfectly portrays him. Usually, we only see 2 or less sides to a killer. What you thought of them before and after they killed someone. But with Kaito. You see so many sides of him because of his development and just total relationship with Shuichi. You never cease to amaze all of us. Space man is watching you from the moon, proud of your work .

God this song by itself made me appreciate Kaito more I honestly never cared for him much at first he seemed too cheery and he kept messing with trials too much (except chapter 4 I wanted to side with him there) and he was too quick to act without thinking without considering other people and what they may be feeling especially kokichi and he’s my small bean so I had a small grudge But after chapter 5 I saw something else he didn’t just kill kokichi for Maki he did it to try and end the game for everyone he believed him in his dying moments and I believe he understand kokichi a little better and though he may never agree with his methods he understands why he did what he did He also explained all his actions and it honestly made him better right then and knowing he got what he wanted and didn’t fall to despair in his execution makes him more enjoyable Then this song... is just beautiful.. moth Wasn’t abused just went crazy after his sister died and while it was revealed that their memories were changed and he wasn’t originally like that, if he was let out of the game without his memories being fixed he probs would’ve killed so many more women and no one would even know about his mental problems since he doesn’t mention it, he only mentioned it once he was about to die. I like kiyo but he couldn’t be let out into the world the way he was. He needed his memories back or serious therapy but for all we know he may kill the workers if they are female and seem like a ‘good friend’ for his sister.

This song perfectly fits Kaito I think. He understands that everything is in a horrible place but he still thinks he and his friends will escape until oh no, he is the blackened because gremlin man came in and made a deal with him. The ending of the song I think shows Kaito the most, “I’ll be watching you from the moon.” and “Join and fight the sun.” because he died in space and not when he crashed back down and he was always wanting to work as a team. I have not played any of the games as of yet, even though I really want to...but I can already tell he’d probably be one of my favorite characters ‘cause of an unintended irony in his character design. You are probably wondering what I mean by that...so imma explain, and when I’m finished there is a chance you are probably gonna appreciate a little bit of this irony too. You notice how he tends to wear his jacket? How he has his left arm (on our right) in the jacket’s sleeve, but leaves his right jacket sleeve empty of his right arm as the right side of the jacket just drapes over his right shoulder? If you’ve done research on his character design, like I did, you probably already know that the reason his character wears his jacket that way was to make it easier to show off the space-themed interior of his jacket, as space is important to his character. But the fashion/style choice of only wearing one jacket sleeve has a history that goes beyond that, and in some places they have a word associated to that fashion/style choice. This is where the irony starts coming in: During the 1950s in the country Greece, it was trendy for “Cool Guys” to wear only one sleeve of their jackets. “Cool Guys” in Greek are called “Mangas”, and a singular “Cool Guy” is a “Manga”. In turn, the choice of wearing only one jacket sleeve became known in Greece as the “Manga Style”. (Yes, you read all that right.) Now back to the present, most of the the world knows “Manga” solely as the Japanese comic medium, and “Manga Style”, (as well as Anime Style,) for most of the world refers to the style of Japanese Anime/Manga. But in Greece, Manga has two meanings, as Manga is still also the word for a “Cool Guy”. So with that all being said, the fact Danganronpa, being a Japanese game with Anime/Manga styled characters, has a character wearing his jacket in the 1950s Greek *Manga* style, it gives him Manga Inception...MANGAception! And the fact that he is supposedly a “Cool Guy” character, it gives him more MANGAception! And I love that! He is basically a Manga, Manga styled character in the Manga Style.
Fun fact: I discovered Danganronpa after Vocaloid, and when V3 came out and I found out about the names, I said out loud, “Kaito? Why did they miss the opportunity to make him blue?”
Mcki, you, ma'am, are amazing. In every sense of the word. This song is beautiful. And emotional. And fits space boi so well. Just like every last song you've ever posted, DR-related or otherwise. Your talents are truly Ultimate-worthy and you should remember that always. Also, unpopular opinion: I love both Kaito AND Kokichi. Not just one while hating the other or neither. After all this time, I've just realized that the song even goes on after Kaito's death, as if he's cheering on Shuichi, Maki, Himiko, and Keebo as they battle Tsumugi and the outside world.
I didn’t really like Kaito at the beginning of the game. But as it went on I warmed up to him more and more. Wether it was him guiding Shuichi after Kaede’s death, or him trying to get Maki to open up more, it seemed like he truly cared about the other students. Him choosing to believe in everyone without proof wasn’t smart, but I like how his beliefs clashed with the evidence during trial 4. The end of trial 5 and his execution were honestly incredibly satisfying. His spirit didn’t break even when facing certain death, he died during the execution; almost as a last “f*ck you” to Monokuma, and he died where he always wanted to go; space. He really was the luminary of the stars.
If you think about it, 0:51 is talking about Ryoma, because Kaito admired Ryoma during his tennis-playing days, and may believe his sense of determination comes from a strong heart. Kaito seeing Ryoma the way he is during the killing game makes him believe he was corrupted by the darkness, which is technically an accurate belief.
Kaito we really deserves more love. Like we all know that at the beginning of the game kaede was a Beacon of Hope for everyone at the start but after she died everyone kind of went into depressive mood. And then there was kaito there to try and cheer everyone up. And another thing is is I I honestly doubt she would she would have even wanted to stand up anymore after coyotes death it seemed because without kaito next to him he probably would have given up without his inspiration.

Kaito is the only character in all of danganronpa to not have a despair inducing death. Think about it. He got to go the moon like he always wanted and it was monokuma's plan to crash the rocket back on earth to induce despair upon kaito but he didn't expect kaito to die of his illness while looking up at the moon and the stars. In the end kaito won against monokuma even if kokichi's plan failed. Kaito had a hopeful death, a perfect death
Even if Kaito hadn’t died of his illness before the end of his execution, Kaito would have died hopeful because he would have accomplished his dream of going to space either way. The only ways his death would have been full of despair is if he died of his illness before reaching space, didn’t go to space at all, or both.

I really REALLY dislike kaito, like i hate him but now after like rethinking his character HE HAS A FANTASTIC design, being a miu and kokichi fan, it's hard to say this haha but he's a good person, and has nice aspirations, and he only killed kokichi to save maki, in which is kinda sappy because he did it for love and whatever, but think about it, kokichi died to save everyone and kaito helped him, and gave his place up knowing he's gonna die, just to try to save the others. Chapter 5 brought out THE MOST emotion for me, and actually made me cry, im a person who doesn't cry very often, and i played the game with a friend, and for us it was the most emotional experience in danganronpa, i now somewhat have like this admiration for kaito despite not liking him (does that make sense?) anyways ill stop ranting now

I really think whoever calls kaito stupid or dumb is wrong. He might not be an ahead-planner like kokichi, but he has an incredible amount of emotional and interpersonal intelligence, which makes him smarter than most characters in v3 cast. Kokichi and Kaito are like ying yang. Kokichi is a rational thinker, and kaito is guided by feelings but both are really good at that which makes them real inteligent. I've also heard that there's a lot of lies in his FTEs, but I haven't done those yet so I won't comment. That flatline part was so sad but so amazing and the fact that you took someone like Kaito who had so much Bipolar development. From being a bro. To punching Shuichi, to being Bullied by Miu, to being Maki's closest ally, and then the chapter 5 blackened. And literally turned such a charater into a song that actually perfectly portrays him. Usually, we only see 2 or less sides to a killer. What you thought of them before and after they killed someone. But with Kaito. You see so many sides of him because of his development and just total relationship with Shuichi.

I honestly never cared for him much at first he seemed too cheery and he kept messing with trials too much (except chapter 4 I wanted to side with him there) and he was too quick to act without thinking without considering other people and what they may be feeling especially kokichi and he’s my small bean so I had a small grudge
But after chapter 5 I saw something else he didn’t just kill kokichi for Maki he did it to try and end the game for everyone he believed him in his dying moments and I believe he understand kokichi a little better and though he may never agree with his methods he understands why he did what he did
He also explained all his actions and it honestly made him better right then and knowing he got what he wanted and didn’t fall to despair in his execution makes him more enjoyable
Then this song... is just beautiful.. I never cried for anyone’s death just was angry but when I heard the line go flat I honestly had tears he just wanted us to look at the bright side no matter how dark it was he knew the moon was somewhere to brighten the scary night you just had to search for it and honestly he gets my respect

Wasn’t abused just went crazy after his sister died and while it was revealed that their memories were changed and he wasn’t originally like that, if he was let out of the game without his memories being fixed he probs would’ve killed so many more women and no one would even know about his mental problems since he doesn’t mention it, he only mentioned it once he was about to die.
I like kiyo but he couldn’t be let out into the world the way he was. He needed his memories back or serious therapy but for all we know he may kill the workers if they are female and seem like a ‘good friend’ for his sister.

I have not played any of the games as of yet, even though I really want to...but I can already tell he’d probably be one of my favorite characters ‘cause of an unintended irony in his character design. You are probably wondering what I mean by that...so imma explain, and when I’m finished there is a chance you are probably gonna appreciate a little bit of this irony too.
You notice how he tends to wear his jacket? How he has his left arm (on our right) in the jacket’s sleeve, but leaves his right jacket sleeve empty of his right arm as the right side of the jacket just drapes over his right shoulder? If you’ve done research on his character design, like I did, you probably already know that the reason his character wears his jacket that way was to make it easier to show off the space-themed interior of his jacket, as space is important to his character. But the fashion/style choice of only wearing one jacket sleeve has a history that goes beyond that, and in some places they have a word associated to that fashion/style choice.
This is where the irony starts coming in: During the 1950s in the country Greece, it was trendy for “Cool Guys” to wear only one sleeve of their jackets. “Cool Guys” in Greek are called “Mangas”, and a singular “Cool Guy” is a “Manga”. In turn, the choice of wearing only one jacket sleeve became known in Greece as the “Manga Style”. (Yes, you read all that right.)
Now back to the present, most of the the world knows “Manga” solely as the Japanese comic medium, and “Manga Style”, (as well as Anime Style,) for most of the world refers to the style of Japanese Anime/Manga. But in Greece, Manga has two meanings, as Manga is still also the word for a “Cool Guy”.
So with that all being said, the fact Danganronpa, being a Japanese game with Anime/Manga styled characters, has a character wearing his jacket in the 1950s Greek *Manga* style, it gives him Manga Inception...MANGAception! And the fact that he is supposedly a “Cool Guy” character, it gives him more MANGAception! And I love that!

After all this time, I've just realized that the song even goes on after Kaito's death, as if he's cheering on Shuichi, Maki, Himiko, and Keebo as they battle Tsumugi and the outside world.
Ok..showing the bleeding sprite was one thing...but showing his EXECUTION WAS JUST COMPLETE OVERKILL FOR MY HEART AND FEELINGS .,_,.

I didn’t really like Kaito at the beginning of the game. But as it went on I warmed up to him more and more. Wether it was him guiding Shuichi after Kaede’s death, or him trying to get Maki to open up more, it seemed like he truly cared about the other students. Him choosing to believe in everyone without proof wasn’t smart, but I like how his beliefs clashed with the evidence during trial 4. The end of trial 5 and his execution were honestly incredibly satisfying. His spirit didn’t break even when facing certain death, he died during the execution; almost as a last “f*ck you” to Monokuma, and he died where he always wanted to go; space. He really was the luminary of the stars.

If you think about it, 0:51 is talking about Ryoma, because Kaito admired Ryoma during his tennis-playing days, and may believe his sense of determination comes from a strong heart. Kaito seeing Ryoma the way he is during the killing game makes him believe he was corrupted by the darkness, which is technically an accurate belief.
It's so beautiful. Bringing back all those emotions from that chapter. I loved kokichi and kaito so it was like a double kidney punch

Kaito we really deserves more love. Like we all know that at the beginning of the game kaede was a Beacon of Hope for everyone at the start but after she died everyone kind of went into depressive mood. And then there was kaito there to try and cheer everyone up. And another thing is is I I honestly doubt she would she would have even wanted to stand up anymore after coyotes death it seemed because without kaito next to him he probably would have given up without his inspiration.
I didn’t like this song at first but it’s really grown on me and now I’ve listened to it over and over again-
