    Whilst many choose a Hotel or Villa in Bali they may be missing out on the real Balinese experience and the truly relaxing holiday escape they initially craved.
    Whilst I can't recommend staying at this particular one as it's in Denpasar City in the middle of nowhere Homestays do offer a family environment, caring attention to detail and amazing hospitality in a surprisingly and intricately simple lifestyle way.
    There is no comparison to the feeling you will be left with after your first dive into a quality Homestay option.
    The unique, complete and undivided attention to your needs and wishes gather momentum the longer you stay and interact with a beautiful Balinese family.
    Choose wisely though.

      I agree Karen (he said modestly). It came up so well and Ketut just chatted away after I asked a question. I shot it over a couple of days so had time to think and plan. I truly hope many people watch this. It's the real Bali for sure. Thank you for your kind words. W

    Another truly wonderful video, thank you. I think all westerns can learn from the Balinese way of a balanced lifestyle. My goodness they work so hard, yet they enjoy life and are happy. I always loved having an opportunity to talk to a local one on one. They are so wise. They really don’t understand why westerners are basically so stressed and wanting when we have so much.

    • @BaliInsiderGuide
      @BaliInsiderGuide  5 років тому +4

      I asked where is the nearest, cheapest supermarket. Of course he knew them all but as for price? He simply said "I don't know, we don't need that". Meaning they never shop in a supermarket! So cool. Ummm... they do have stress though. Annie just bought a new car that Ketut paid the deposit on. I asked him are you happy? he said "yes and no" I asked why and he said "yes the car is good but we need to pay the loan". The almighty dollar rules our lives I guess? Nice comment Colleen. Please share this vid. Ketut and Annie deserve it! W

      I have three and three lenses. So this is the Canon 80D DSLR rockin' a 10-18mm canon lens and then for the close ups the Canon 'nifty 50' which is a 50mm. The trick is though that this camera has a crop sensor so really the lenses are like 18mm -28mm maybe? and the 50 =80mm. I'm guessing the figures despite just googling it for you.
