I was so tickled with myself as I made Jambalaya yesterday. I had some shrimp and a couple versions of the spicy sausage on deck and it was game on! I was so pleased because it wasn't a master plan and turned out tasty! It's shows like this that inspire me to go with the flow and make it my own, so to speak. There's no rules in cooking except one-don't make anyone sick or dead. lol Other than that cook your dreams and wild ideas. You'll figure it out.
It looks pretty good, I generally add scallops, oysters, crab claws, and crawfish, along with the shrimp, lump crab meat, Cajun sausage and okra, 😋 occasionally I even throw in the kitchen sink and the dish towel too 😅🤣😂
Got several okra plants ready to go in the ground in about 2 weeks....3 varieties......look forward to making dishes like this and pickling some..... definitely bread and deep fry some to ☺️
Cajun, Why did you add the roux last? I've seen a lot a recipes make the roux, add the holy trinity and build the rest of the gumbo. just curious on your techniques. Thanks Love ya channel!!
I am from GA and I gotta say your recipes look so delicious. I am gonna make the smothered cabbage tonight but unfortunately I will have to cook it indoors. It is only 6 am and I am starving to death lol. Prob not best if you wake up at 4 to start watching cooking videos but thanks for sharing 🥰💗
Cooking in the open air on the fire with the sound of the rain was very enjoyable.😊
I can smell the food, the fire, the woods, and the rain.
