- Video of some of the cars on the VSCC Cotswold Trial. I've arranged it by class, and in the order they came past. As the hills changed so much as the day went on it seemed sensible to do it this way.
Sorry there aren't more of the Long Wheelbase cars, there was a slippery section of the hill further down, which definitely didn't seem to suit the bigger cars.

I feel like the marshals are a bit unfair at times, for some people they give them ages to try and get up the hill ( one red tourer went backwards before gaining traction, yet sometimes they'll cut them off before they've even had a chance.
And the more I watch it (mainly the car around 16:35 or around there) they seem to want to stop the car at any opportunity they can??

It literally does not matter, but I don’t understand how this could be fun for anyone, but obviously it’s a big thing over there, so God bless ‘em.
On another thought, it would be hilarious to do a Chevy LS swap in one of those with a large enough engine bay, put in four-wheel-drive and slap on some Mudboggers😂. I understand this seems to be about driving up wet, shitty hills and very old vehicles, but it would be funny to see the contrast.

It's an Austin 7 in disguise as a Brescia Bugatti. Note the 3 stud wheels (you can't quite see the Austin seven badge on the radiator from that angle).

Original 750cc austin engines, most are modified with period parts
Why do people jump on their seats?

Thanks for your comments. Yes 'bouncing' as it's known is to aid traction. As for technique I'm no expert, but gather from watching that it's very difficult, and really depends on the conditions as to what works best. See 8:07 for a way that worked when surface was too slippery to crawl up.
