- The Mets lineup managed just two hits in a 6-0 loss to the Brewers but Pete Alonso said, "we just need to flush today and focus on tomorrow it's a big one." Jose Quintana who didn't have his usual command and failed to make it out of the fifth inning, got right to the point, "We need to bounce back tomorrow... we need to win."

It’s too bad the pickings are slim when it comes to free agent 1st baseman. I’ve grown tired of watching Alonso fail miserably time and time again when we need him most. He can either prove his worth today and maybe tomorrow, or good riddance! If he does go elsewhere, I’m definitely not gonna lose any sleep over it.
Mets were unstoppable for weeks now and they are now in a losing streak. Lindor getting hurt didn’t help. Arizona helping them get playoffs by not winning either
