‘Massive rebellion’ within Labor Party against left flank

  • Former Victoria Liberal Party President Michael Kroger discusses the “massive rebellion” taking place within Labor against the left flank of the party.
The Greens have conceded defeat in the Prahran by-election to Liberal candidate Rachel Westaway, while Premier Jacinta Allan claims the result in Labor's previously safe seat of Werribee shows Victorians dislike the state opposition.
“You are seeing a historic split now in the Labor Party between those who are in the Hawke faction ... and this Albanese-Corbyn left who have not been helpful to the Jewish community and Israel,” Mr Kroger told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“It says a lot about the Greens.”

In Australia, we need a paradigm shift. It's not with Labor, as we know, or with Labor-Lite, (Liberal), Watermelons or Teals.
We need the US Bill of Rights, the Swiss system of Direct Democracy, and a DOGE.
We also need a significant reduction in the number of politicians, bureaucrats and civil servants, with them having limited tenure, whilst being audited and means tested. Their pensions and perks need to be retrospectively reduced too.

Leave the UN, WEF and Paris Accord.

The greens are totally un Australian the teals aren’t much better , So where to from here ? Do we vote in people who’s only agenda is to remove our freedoms or do we start looking at parties who have freedom at the forefront of their decision making , i for one would like to see people who love freedom “that includes speech” conservative money management in place while making sure that our key needs are met . Our hospitals , our nursing homes our police departments , our roads which are atrocious in every state “wasn’t that what the taxes on our fuel was supposed to fund “ . Government is no longer for the people it is for the politicians who make massive amounts of money from dirty back room deals .

Do you really care fellow Aussies? We often criticize (and still end up casting a vote for) a political party for getting 50% of things wrong and 50% right. However, when Pauline Hanson makes mistakes in only 20% of her policies and gets 80% right, she is dismissed without consideration. Unlike countries like the USA, Australia doesn't offer a broad spectrum of favorable major political parties. In our context, it’s clear that parties like People First, with Senator Rennick, and One Nation, with Senator Roberts, deserve greater support from the Australian public to break free from the current Labor-led challenges. The Libertarian Party also might offer better than what has been.
I encourage you to consider the smaller parties thoughtfully and give them a fair chance, particularly when deciding how to rank your preferences in an election. It doesn’t necessarily need to be your first choice, but perhaps a second or third choice for a change. Take the time to research and engage in discussions with your family and friends about the upcoming vote. If you are taking the time to read this, you have the time to chat to people that matter in your life. We’ve experienced two decades of political missteps in this country, and it’s important to recognize that no party can tick every single box. That kind of perfection simply doesn’t exist in Australian politics, particularly when we’re dealing with the current mess.
My advice is to support the party that aligns with 80% of your values, even if you have reservations about the remaining 20%. While it’s tempting to focus on those small imperfections, the 80% is far more significant and impactful. The parties that are divided 50/50 thrive when we remain fragmented and focus on the small disagreements. However, voting for a 50/50 party can do more harm in the long run, as we’ve seen with Labor’s impact over the past several years. The repercussions of voting for such parties are deeply felt throughout the country.
It’s time we consider alternative options and perhaps give the Greens and Labor a break from the driver’s seat, allowing other parties a chance to steer the country in a different direction. Whatever your decision, I urge you to approach your vote with care, as the future of our nation depends on it.
All the best, no matter who you choose to vote for.

Why do we always have to have a minority govt of either the Labor Party or the LNP where one of them has succumb to the wishes of the radicals in each group? Why don't those with the same values but slightly different processes join in a minority partisanship, choosing a leader from each to work together and represent the wishes of the majority of the nation? There are those in the Labor Party and the LNP that want the nuclear power plant plans that Frontier Economics put forth to Dutton because they want Australia to prosper. There are a number of policies that both Labor and the LNP want that are the same but we end up getting the few radicals pretending to be for the environment and ripping it to pieces as well as ruining Australia's prosperity. We have an amazing piece of land, girt by sea, and rich with resources. A topography that could be used to our advantage to terraform the internal parts and make it not just habitable but also an island paradise. Massive lakes that utilise gravity fed partially desalinated from the Blue Divide and the Kimberleys plus floodwaters that can be channelled to lower parts of Australia to plan cities in the guts and to the Northwest, North, Central, and the rest. We could open up land, incentivise industry, and drive work growth, so we CAN take in the immigrants (as long as they are willing to assimilate) without forcing real-estate prices thru the stratosphere. Our GDP would skyrocket and wealth per capita would jump dramatically. Costs to enter the internal parts of Australia will drop. There would be jobs galore for city planners and engineers of all sorts and instead of sending our talent overseas, we keep it in our nation and develop our resources. First things first, exit the Paris Agreement and distance ourselves from the UN, improve and commit our relationship with AUKUS, and deregulate the governing authorities that keep saying this country belongs to someone else. We already have Native Title laws in place and each case is dealt with by the appropriate person. Bring back people interactions with ombudsman services and increase it if it requires more lawyers to keep up with phone demand.
