The Hollywood Squares thing is pure un-cut Jackie. He was obsessed with getting a big break away from Howard but every opportunity to do so, he never failed to choke. Jackie's like Pinnochio, a puppet who dreams of being real, and it just can't happen.
Jackie stand-up was poor, but he was a perfect fit for the Stern show because of his writing, train wreck lifestyle and delusional wife. He never realized how good he had it. He was doing strip clubs in S. Carolina before Howard.
Howard knew Jackie so well. Jackie pretends "they told me to hold up my CD" and Howard said, "no Jackie you brought it with you and said where's the best place to hold it, that's not THEM telling you to push it". Jackie is quite mad.
In my life, I’ve probably heard over 10000 Jackie plugs and I’ve NEVER even spent one dollar on anything Jackie. 😂 And I don’t even mind him. He’s kinda funny. Just never spent on his garbage.
When the E! show came on, he got at least one commercial on national TV!!! And I still had zero interest in buying his stuff. He's funny on Stern but his jokes are old and corny.
That’s how Jackie paid back all of his favors in Bayville. He mentioned the guy from West Harbor Marine when his dock needed a lift. The flip side of the coin is if Jackie mentioned someone, it was to put them in debt to him ie; “You owe me Albert” (he said to director Albert Brooks).
To Stuttering Johns’s credit, his laugh - at Jackie, is infectious. He also added some funny lines like “Uncle Funny’s”. He was brilliant at busting Jackie’s balls.
@4:15 Howard knew Jackie was on the way out. Howard always tried to play dumb like he didn't know who got what, but Howard knew everything. He knew who was making what, and always gobbled up the Lion's share.
Jackie wanted to: wear his Jokeland shirt, give out his 1-800 #, promote his cd , plug his appearance, plug Nancy's band and his Olio record label. All that and he didn't write one of the jokes on Hollywood Squares.
Wow! This must have been shortly before he left the show. You can feel the tension in the air between Howard and Jackie. You can tell that Howard doesn’t want him and Jackie wants out bad!
I don't think either of those things are true. I think Howard wanted Jackie to stay, and Jackie wanted to stay. But Howard wasn't going to dig in his own pocket to keep him (like he did in the past), and Jackie was just playing hardball for more money.
True. His plugging of Nancy was the most pathetic aspect. That woman never understood that an entertainer must be well liked by the public. She tried to force herself on the public and it failed.
Boy when you hear Howard and Jackie argue in this it was more cutting. Howard at this point had it up to here with Jackie and knew he was going to be leaving the show. Also when Howard dug in about Nancy's band going no where was a nice dig.
Everybody can say whatever they want, but Jackie was a great part of the show. I would’ve strangled Howard after this segment if I was Jackie. Howard is so annoying and passive aggressive and Robin chirping in. Funny shit.
i think it's the same guy that wasn't picked when they did the stuck on you contest with jeff the drunk. same whiny voice and they also tell him to stfu each time, so i think he was a known caller.
That's not an unpopular opinion at all, any real Howard fan knows that the 1990s was the best time for the show, especially with Billy West. The show started to jump the shark when Howard and his wife separated, and when Jackie left the show it was the nail in the coffin, but thanks to channels like this,we can relive the good old days.
It’s cringe worthy when he has Beth on. He just sounds so insecure like he’s so afraid of losing her or something. Just sounds like a 70 year-old man afraid of losing a younger woman. that being said, I love that Beth helps all the animals specially, the cats.
Damn, you can hear the tension between Howard and Jackie. Jackie should have dropped the endless plugs and scaled back his career outside the Stern show. Nancy’s P put Jackie under some kind of spell.
No wonder Wiggy was more than usual pissed at Jackie. He was in his final contract negotiations with Tom. Jackie quit the show days after this video. Feb 2001: Hollywood Squares Feb 2001: Jackie quit
wrong. Howard dint hate jackie. more than once the radio stations wouldnt give jackie the money he wanted and howard compensated him out of his own pocket. you dont shit about what went on
Jokey the Jackman is funny?! Yikes! The reason he laughs at his own jokes? It guarantees him at least one laugh. That’s pathetic. His insecurity is so palpable it can make the room uncomfortable.
I’m missing most of my pinkie finger and it’s not that bad. I would not cut it off just to be on the show, but if someone did they would be fine. It’s just a a little hard to palm a basketball
They all predicted and were all correct by saying the moment Jackie left the show or his fame diminishes, she would leave him. They were all right! I’m not saying it was easy being married to that drunken weirdo, but it was very obvious what her intentions were.
If Jackie wasn't so pathetic and relentless with the dumb promotions and plugs and Jackie's whole way of operating he prob would have sold 5 times more stuff
Robin was always quick to jump against Jackie for everything. She is not funny nor very insightful. The show could have been even better if she was the one that got jettisoned!!!
Fred’s timing with that circus music is hilarious
He fuken hates Jackie 😂
It was a daily thing at this point
That Carnival Barker music just takes it over the top.
Aside from Gilbert appearances...Jackie ball busting is the funniest shit in Stern History.
It never gets old.
Agree, but would add Mark Harris appearances too. Goofing on Jackie though, priceless.
@@coonagh1 What keeps you listening to the Mark Harris audio? I’ve avoided him but would appreciate yer opinion. Tx.
Laugh and the whole world laughs with you. Cry and you wet your tie aw-hahahaw!
@@josepha3805 No ketchup!
Lol, Fred playing the Jackie music relentlessly.
i lose it whenever they'd let jackie's punchlines just hang there for a few seconds with no reaction and THEN fred would play crickets
It’s the best
Wasnt it Billy usually making the cricket sounds?? Haha@@Teeveepicksures
It's hilarious. It came on again at 2:40 and I just busted out laughing!
The Hollywood Squares thing is pure un-cut Jackie. He was obsessed with getting a big break away from Howard but every opportunity to do so, he never failed to choke. Jackie's like Pinnochio, a puppet who dreams of being real, and it just can't happen.
Great analogy!
Sure is
Jackie stand-up was poor, but he was a perfect fit for the Stern show because of his writing, train wreck lifestyle and delusional wife. He never realized how good he had it. He was doing strip clubs in S. Carolina before Howard.
@@MrBronx61 I agree 100%.

Jackie and his knick-knacks 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Howard had no patience with Jackie’s bull during that last year. It was about time.
"I'd just like to mention my wife Nancy!!!!" (Jackie Voice)

@@daveolsen7916there's a reason why these *comedians" never made it big outside the Stern Show
Love the old Jackie days. I’m watching the channel 9 shows and he’s the best thing about them. 😂
Jackie "The Joke Man and his wife Nancy Siriani" Martling. I come back to this bit several times a month
Love the Jackie ballbusting bits
...especially by Stuttering John 🤣
Lmao at the caller who said Jackie looked like a geisha
"My old college roommate, Jimmy, once visited Italy..." "I know this is true because my Uncle Robert told me about it..." name dropping madness!

So low class and embarassing to have announcer have to repeat where Jackie is going to be appearing. But then, Jackie had no shame at all.
What's embarrassing now??
They did that for everyone on Hollywood squares.
922-WINE is just a regular call!
3:52, Jackie with the left hook. Howard was reeling for a second. 😂
Yes. Jackie made these kind of threats to Howard at the end.

This Hollywood Squares compilation is a rare one. Chip has made my month!

i'm surprised he was able to book the state theater in Detroit.
The on-air mentions by Howard of the venue filled the seats.
