A small will fit but I would be afraid it would shrink over time. I think stick with medium if you are a similar size ☺️

I think in a lot of things I can fit into a M or L-just depends on the fit you like. I would say if I got a large I would want it to have a string though for the waist. In other brands like Aritzia I have M or L joggers. I do notice their material is prone to shrinking a bit, even if you wash as per the instructions so just take that into consideration.
