I saw them in a small venue a few years ago. I was standing directly in front of Floor, front row, less than 10 feet away when she sang that song. I'll never forget it.
Where was that? I'm hoping to attend their Los Angeles concert in October.

Hi Jen, Great reactions from you and particularly Chanel's to Floor's epic performance. I like these reaction videos because it is like having friends who share our taste in music. In all my 59 years I have kept my tastes to myself because I would always be disappointed when something I deeply love is shrugged off by friends, I would feel like a comedian dying on stage over and over. Love to share in your enthusiasm! (I had never heard of Nightwish before a month ago!!!)
Now show her Greatest Show, And show her Lovebites song Epilogue. Box of tissues greatly needed. A gut wrenchin beautiful ballad, with powerful lyrics. Three emotional vocals here, Asami and M&M guitars, as they make their guitars sing.

Einar Solberg lead vocalist with Leprous has an amazing voice, if you’ve not heard them Below and Castaway Angels are two songs well worth listening to! And Blind and Frozen from Beast in Black is another song that the vocalist Yannis will surprise you on!

Dead boys poem live in Buenos Aires is amazing. Floor sings it with very pure sound, not much reverb effects etc from the mic, it's a very natural sound that really shows off the power of her voice.
Also I think the final notes of Storytime live Wacken are more pleasing than the end notes of love score :).

And it wasn't so much that she got teary eyed but her voice was altered and shaky as well.

When I 1st heard this I made a goal to see them live before I turned 50, that is 3 months away and it’s looking to be impossible thanks to COVID-19. It would have been my 1st overseas trip, I hope they can tour in Australia, until then I will have to stick to my BlueRay collection

Only seen them once in like 2006 with Tarja (that was a great show, but Floor is on another level!) and I was planning to see them in 2020, then realized I didn't need to travel because they were coming to Sweden Rock Festival, and them yes COVID.19 happened... It took me long enough to go overseas for a show (had been to neighboring countries but never flown to see one), but I finally went across the Atlantic (Sweden to LA, USA) to see a band. So, go for it when you can! \m/
I saw them back in 2017 together with my mother. Ghost love score was the last song of the set. My mother turns 70 by the way ;) so dont put yourself under pressure.

i love that part when the music seems to collapse on it self around 14:20 then she sings the redeem me i think she starts the climb from there floor begins to ascend the scale hovering at each note before each ascent till she belts out on top this is from a semi musical note as i have seen vocal coaches react to this and their minds are blown as well
I'm a guitar player. As soon as I heard the solo I plugged in and figured it out in like 10 minutes. It's not shredding but it goes so well with the 10 minute song.
For shredding you should watch Romanticide Wacken 2013
Emppu basically just plays the tune in his solo there... but it was what was needed, and works so well. I love it. He can totally do more complex stuff when r
though. Good call out to Romanticide above there. Another phenomenal example would be his solos in High Hopes (End of an Era concert.).

Not long after the first time I heard and was "floored" by GLS w/ Floor singing, I invited my best friend to listen to this version of this great song and sadly it didn't go as I had hoped. She didn't like it at all. Can't win 'em all. I still listen it GLS and Storytime just about every day. I know I'm not the only one.
Jenn, isn't that the most frustrating thing when you send this to somebody, because you're on fire, and you get a 'Meh, not my thing' reaction? I actually got that from a few friends , who are just stuck with their 50 years old collection of rock music.

I feel there isn't enough comment on Floor's stage presence. It is stunning. She can stand like a mountain one minute and prowl around like a panther the next. She can also vamp. In other bands (After Forever, Revamp) she has shown her vulnerable side and her pissed off biker chick side (Disdain).

Floor's sister Irene is very close in height to her. I would like to see the three of you standing side by side(I'm 5'10" so I would need a ladder lol). One thing among many that I love about Nightwish is they're not a "shredder" band. Emppu can do that but only when Tuomas needs him to shred for his composition. He shreds on Romanticide. Fun fact; Emppu loves his beer so Floor spikes it with 7UP lol.
