Oh yeah the theme/story of Spiderman is based on the average black man struggle. What sad is that there’s a lot of black men are dealing with this issue today while them rich white folks keeps profiting off the struggle of the black man of sports, music, etc. In the end, if that black athlete or musician dies the white men companies will own that legacy image & money like Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant, it goes on.
Looking at this on a deeper level I can see it for sure but honestly growing up with this character in the early 2000s just feels the most relatable to any man's life experience in America n the crazy part now I think of I relate more to Peter Parker's spiderman more than Miles n I'm black n I know I look mixed but my parents black n with Miles I never really related to his struggle like that compared to Peter although I still really enjoy Miles as a character n its nice to see a black father in the picture but surprisingly don't feel the same hardships as him a lot of the times.
This is why I think static would be good for the dcu as a live action character he to me he could be the Spiderman of the dcu with the right push. Especially with social media I never read the Comics but saw the show as a kid he worked a regular job and was. A hero on the side like Peter is
