A small detour into film scores, as I really wanted to make a Line Rider to this amazing piece of music by John Williams (not to mention incredible acting by Ben Kingsley and others). The dark theme seemed appropriate for this one, given the context. I hope you enjoy the sync of this music!
Doing it in black and white with just the touch of red is just...*fingerkiss*
Yes - the default colour scheme of "night mode" seemed to tie up very nicely with that aspect of the film. Glad people are noticing :- ) .
That reminds me of the girl in the red dress in the movie...
Fits perfectly with the movie.
That’s literally just Line Rider. The normal one.
@@Win090949 what do you mean by the normal one? This video was made by Line Rider Advanced.
When Steven Spielberg first approached Williams about making the score for _Schindler's List,_ Williams initially declined, saying he was unworthy of such an undertaking.
Spielberg immediately responded with, "Everyone who is better is dead."
Based on the phenomenal soundtrack Williams delivered, it's clear Spielberg made the right call.
John Williams is a god among men. A minor god, yes. But a god nonetheless.
And Itzhak Perlman - beyond belief beautiful. Perlman adds touches that are just . . .
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌝⭐⭐⭐⭐

@@sericarose1828 I cried with joy when I saw his name on the music. A sublime violinist.
That's a weird compliment
I came here for the bouncy dude on a sled but cried through the video because of how beautiful the video was. Also, the black background was definitely the great choice for the video because it fully immerses audiences to the video.
This is so underrated and it is the most elegant piece of art I've seen in a long time
Underrated? It came out less than a 24 hours ago, give it a second.
@@IdeaSlug I mean his content in general
I AGREE--- ABSOLUTELY STUNNING.
I can see why this won both a BAFTA and an Academy Award for Best Music/Best Original Score.
Because of line rider
Williams's 5th Oscar, and my fav film score of his.
I listened to this piece nearly 30 times already and watched the movie 5 times and it still makes me jerk a tear. This really shows how significant the movie was and how much music can influence the viewers. This is also a testament to John Williams talent.
Thank you so much for releasing a line rider for this. I really appreaciate it.
It's beautiful isn't it. It wasn't hard to have to listen to this music many times whilst creating this track.
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider the thing is that back then, I used to date a Jewish girl and this song only made me cry even harder knowing how hard her people had to go through
@@edh8900 yep. Beautiful music depicting a very sad subject.
This is by far your best one, at least in my opinion. This partially permeable line effect is very esthetic and very fitting for this wonderful piece of music. The inverted colour complements all of that. Thank you for this!
:О YOU DID NOT ! ! ! And the scarf is red... That was beautiful! Thank you!
It's the default scarf colour, but I'm glad someone noticed the black/white/red similarity to the film 😊.
There is a lot of value to this. It may seem like just a silly internet game but the medium doesn't matter - you put many hours of work into creating a beautiful visual of how the music flows
red scarf with a black sky and the white line, genius.
How could i imagine that line rider would touch my feels so deeply...?
The way you have made the rider continually swirling to show that nothing is secure and there is no safe place to turn, makes this especially haunting. Well done indeed.
My god, this is beautiful !!!!!
Am not a fan of cinema but read about Schindler and his work when I was a lot younger. Since then have read about countless other people in Europe who did their best to help, even if it was only a few people. I wonder how brave I would be in those circumstances.
Oskar Schindler was a basically amoral man who discovered that he was involved in something truly evil, and he simply couldn't cooperate with with it. He did what he could to save those that he could.
John Rabe is a very intresting person as well
NO I MISSED THE PREMIER BC SCHOOL
ps can you do la campanella or chopin's first mazkura , or maybe chopin chopin waltz in a minor op. posth. b 150
Good suggestions, thanks. Sorry you missed it!

@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider
I beg of you for la campanella please..???
@@nadiaannthomas6552 good shout, I shall add it to my list to consider.
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider Thankuuu!!!!
As always, perfection. The piece rips my heart out, knowing the story behind it. The pain, the horror, the hope, the bravery, the saving of souls. John Williams knows his stuff, and you truly complement his work. My father played the violin, so that added to the pain and pleasure. Thanks
Ahh missed the premier but man this is great, another one for the playlist.
Yes! I love this piece. Thanks so much!
This is exactly what I look forward to in my leisure time. Thanks for another masterpiece Matthew
Thanks Jerray.
Anyone else struggle to see through the tears in their eyes?
Every time the line rider approaches the edge of the end of a line and just falls, I hold my breath. Such a beautiful way to create tension in such a compelling piece. Thank you for sharing!!
Thanks! Glad you liked it 😊
This is one of my top most favorite scores of all time. ❤️❤️❤️
Wow. I never realized before how beautiful that music was. Your work perfectly fits this masterpiece. Keep up this fantastic work !
Such a powerfully evocative piece and masterful portrayal of the spirit of graceful hope and endurance of the survivors of the holocaust. The line rider depiction reflected the horrors of that epoch in history very poetically. A truly sympathetic memorial. PWG
Thank for the including John Williams in your videos! He's my all-time favorite composer.
The best composer of the twenty one century
Thanks for all of the awesome content!
Astonishingly beautiful. I never would have imagined it was possible for a little guy on a sled to capture the heartbreak of the piece so perfectly.
So many times the rider rode on the nose of the sled and it looked like a figure skater the way it moved.
This brought tears. It was perfectly synchronous with the music.
Pardon me now while I go watch it again.
A beautiful performance to a wholly beautiful song. The ballet of the rider was perfect and absolutely held the emotion of the music. Fantastic work as always.
the black and white--- with a dot of color-- stunning a stroke of genius.
I have always thought that schindlers list was the most underrated piece of film music ever made it is beautiful
Apparently this is a soundtrack of a movie?
Definitely going to watch it just because of this video
YOU MUST!!! IT'S INCREDIBLE, looooong but incredible!!
Welcome back Matthew. Always appreciate your work.😉
This soundtrack is hauntingly beautiful.
Phenomenal job with this one. I never thought a Line Rider track could be so moving, but you've paired it excellently with the soundtrack. Bravo!
A beautiful and mournful piece of music, mesmerisingly illustrated to perfection.
Nice touch with the Line Rider's red scarf!
Thank you, luckily the scarf colour in the game is red by default, so it worked out well!
Exquisite. Thank you. I cried too. The simplicity and black background express the feeling of the movie so very well.
The movements are so incredibly subtle and you also manage to manipulate how the character positions itself so that it also complements the music. That is remarkable.
Edit: It's like a figure skating routine. My guy you're very good at translating music to motions I can never understand how people do that.
Somehow these classical pieces always fit so well with this game and it continues to shock me. You do such a good job, even noticing small details in the music, AND I noticed you communicate with your fans via the comments. I have maximum respect for you, keep this good work up!
Hey, thanks for such a nice comment. I do try and pick out those little things, so it's nice that people notice them 😊
This makes me feel nostalgic for some reason.
So nice, I actually play this one with my son.. 🤗🥰
So beautiful so serene!
YESSS! John Williams is my all time favorite composer XD this song and this video are truly beautiful 🖤
Black and white with a touch of red...beautiful. Well done and thank you
Thank you, I'm glad you noticed that.
You are always the best! Perfect metrics and great sensitivity...
I love this music and I love your work, but this did make me feel a little uncomfortable, as the sled almost never rode satisfyingly flat on the line. However, given Schindler's list, that might have been the emotion you wanted to convey.
Thanks, fair comment - I've never spent ages trying to get them totally smooth, as it would feel more artificial then (also, it would take far longer than I could handle! :D )
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider Fair enough, and no problem! It just stood out to me that it was tumbling and on its front and back edges often. But thanks a lot for covering one of my favorites!
@@beertjuh100 oh sorry, you mean those parts! Yes, that was a deliberate style choice - I was partly trying to try and treat him a little like an ice-skater (if that makes any kind of sense), as that felt like it would go nicely with the tempo and rhythm of the piece.
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider It does seem more like elegant dancing than sledding
@@iz723 Good, that was part of the plan.
Nisam nazalost gledala film ali mene ovo podseca na emotivno i vrlo hrabro bice koje savrseno zna put i savrseno vozi po vrlo.cudnom putu.

This is an amazing piece
3:29 is probably my favourite part, the way the Line Rider is kind of nudged on his way up the scale run? Oooof gave me the shivers.
Outstanding choice of music to give the public on all the Line Rider. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Roger, very kind.
I love how it perfectly goes with the music
That was amazing. Very beautiful, skillful, elegant and yet playful.
You just uplifted my mood by a ton, thanks :)
I'm glad I helped 😊.
