All of these Combine songs have this sweet motif where this really loud and pronounced siren-like noise alerts you to the presence of the Combine, as they are alerted to yours, and then persists through the rest of the song as a backing instrument. Really great work on Morasky's part to make the Combine feel REALLY threatening.
That siren also gets distorted throughout the game so in the big parking lot with the Combine and Antlions you just hear that screeching noise again and again
im thinking of using that siren in a soundtrack for an animation im working as a motif to use when a scanner comes by because its about this gut who escape a city somewhere.
@@Haxxer82 hunters are only really used in the outskirts to hunt down anticivil activities with combine patrols. wouldn't make sense to have them in the cities. not only that but the first time alyx sees a hunter is in episode 2, she has no idea what they were before the vorts told her.
@@Haxxer82 Terrifying. They'd have to be nerfed into the ground for Alyx to have a chance at fighting them, since Hunters in HL2 are *the* most murderous killing machines. EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, maybe they'd have you shoot the hunter's eyes and just avoid them charging at you?
Half Life soundtracks are just, like, these fast paced, energetic, just really good pieces of music with ab roken toaster in the background making noise and i'm here like "Yeah, gimme more of that broken fucking toaster i NEED the sounds"
Morasky just has a different style, and that's good, if he just copied kailey it would basically be a remix of the old songs, he did something new and different

@William Vuthy Heng In the battle you can just throw grenades and all of them will die almost immediately which is bad because it doesnt let you listen to the full song

Actualy not, hl2 and episodes have lower bpm. -20% speed for this track and it will be fine.
