If Njoku and the tight end room regresses this year you can thank Tommy Rees. The reason he is coaching a position he never has coached before just 1 season after he was the offensive coordinator is because he isn't that good at whatever he has been charged with doing. Going back to his Notre Dame coaching career he has failed to develop any QB to be better. When I heard him say his entire life has held a background in player evaluation due to his father, that makes the fact that he stunk at recruiting and developing QB's at Notre Dame even more stunning. I'm hoping he has as little input as possible on the team and especially the offense as a whole but I wouldn't be surprised to have it "leak" out that a successful play that worked was his suggestion when we have never had anything like that ever leak out before from any other coach.
